In Which I Miss All the Interesting Parties, and the Mermaids Who Grace Them

Your humble correspondent was not in attendance at the Distilled Spirits Council’s RNC party at the Florida Aquarium Monday night. The event featured “a 500,000 gallon, floor-to-ceiling Coral Reef tank; the famous Weeki Wachee Mermaids; live music; and an outdoor party deck and cigar lounge overlooking the channel and Harbor Island.” I’m told by very reliable sources that it was a very good time. If I had been there, I would have picked up an authentic Tampa hand rolled cigar or two.

Rumor has it, there was reason to cheer.

The figure in the middle, the one you’re probably not noticing, is producer Tom Elliott of the Peter Schiff Show. He and I are both veterans of the Laura Ingraham Show a few years back.

But like I said, I wasn’t there at the aquarium party. So I missed sighting the mythical mermaids.

While they were swimming about, I was playing taxi for the America’s Radio News crew. Which was fine, I guess.

I miss all the interesting goings on, it seems.
