The cuddly-named CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing case. It’s executive director, Nezar Hamze, tried to trap Rep. Allen West at a recent public meeting. That, as you’ll see in the video, was a mistake.

Probably, and Colonel West would not be a good VP choice if, as I think he does, Governor Romney wants to win the election. There are administration posts more important than the vice presidency, once compared to a bucket of warm spit. How about Secretary of Defense or State? In either post, Colonel West seems likely to play a much more significant role. Then, perhaps he could have a decent shot at the presidency in 2016 or 2020.
I have to agree. Do we really want to waste a guy like Allen West sitting as Spongejoe Hairplugs’ successor?
If the 45th president were likely to be some doddering old fool gumming creamed corn all over his official Presidential Seal tracksuit (with sewn in lining by Depends®), it might be a different story — but I don’t see that happening in 2012.

I disagree, Colonel West is the best insurance policy President Romney could have!
I think West would be a fine pick for head of the National Security Council. With people like Clapper and Brennan gone, we’d at least no longer be told that the Muslim Brotherhood is “mostly secular” or hear Jerusalem referred to as “Al Quds”.
West as VP wouldn’t be a waste of his talent or his abilities. Remember, he would be President of the Senate; wouldn’t that put a dent in ol’ Hairy Reid’s esteem, especially when he’s dethroned as Majority Leader.
Can you say poetic justice? Anyway, I realize it’s just a notion at this juncture. But West would make a great and dynamic VP and Joe Biden can go crawl back into his doghouse with his foolish comments.

Boomer, Romney has a 50/50 chance of taking the White House. The GOP has about a 90% chance of taking the Senate. Taking the Senate will do conservatives more good then taking the White House. Col West is the future. Right now he needs to fluff his Resume (CV) so as to be able to run in 2020 or maybe even 2016.
West as VP would clinch the election for Mitt. I expect Mitt to pick some old white guy. Romney is a desperate last ditch attempt by the RINOs to maintain control of the GOP. The GOP is no longer interested in looking out for America. They seek power to feather their own nests. That is immoral, of course.
Any change for the better in America will happen because of a change in the moral atmosphere. That requires ‘values voters’ voting in phalanx for moral people.
God, Guns and Gays are the real issues of our generation. Get it wrong and we are toast.

And, ok, no tingles up the leg, but yes, I admit to drooling just a tad at the mere thought of a West v. Biden debate. How much fun would that be? Folks all over the US would be jumping to their feet and cheering him on.

It is INCREDIBLY refreshing to see someone respond to a very pointed verbal attack with a courteous but factually accurate reply that dares to be politically incorrect and then to see the defender stand his ground as the attacker tries to maintain the attack. Far FAR too many of our so-called leaders have become so terrified of saying anything that isn’t politically correct that they say nothing at all. THEIR reaction to such an attack is to apologize even when they are in the right just to avoid offending anyone. There are times that I think there is not a real man (in the sense of someone with guts) left in this country. Then someone like Col. West comes along and I start to have hope again….

He can advance runners and score RBI because of his ability to plink the ball into the corners for a while, then drive a liner into deep center field), SecInterior Ted Nugent, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, SecCommerce Mike Kelly, SecLabor Scott Walker, SecHHS…hmmm…who would actually take that job? SecEducation? Michelle Rhee.
There are still open vacancies like SecHUD, but ultimately SecEdu, SecEnergy, SecHHS should be steel ribbed individuals whose task it is to dismantle and abolish their departments.

Henry, I’d first like to say that for 4 years now I have been advocating and stumping to get Col. West in the race for the white house, including lots of phone calls and emails to his office pleading with him to run. Secondly, I totally agree with your picks for the various departments in the government, most particularily Ted Nugent. No one I can think of would be better suited and qualified than Ted. HOWEVER..I wouldn’t want to be the person trying to get him to put on a suit and tie. He’d most likely just shoot you. Seriously I concur with all of your selections and I stand with you in your choices. Mr. West may not be the man to be vice-president for a Romney administration, but Romney would be well-advised to begin the ideological fight that West so magnificently articulates against our two major opponents: leftism and islam. We are in a fight for the survival of our western way of life, whether we wish to bury our heads about it or not. We cannot afford to die the slow death by political correctness, socialism, relativism and evil that islam and leftism will deliver us. The old Muslim histories boast about the devastation spread by jihad. Islam, most likely, was invented to justify Arab conquests and sanctify Arab brutality. West would not be a good pick for VP. I admire the man greatly, but he’s not controlled enough. A top Republican candidate has to tiptoe through the minefields laid by hostile press, and West is not the man to do that.
He’s also fond of making aggressive statements which aren’t always supported by facts. I’m not talking about lies or deliberate misrepresentations, but statements which while generally true in essence sometimss go beyond the precise facts.
It’s a consequence of being passionate on the issues without having exact encyclopedic knowledge.
If he did that as VP candidate, he’d be crucified. (Unlike Obama and Biden and Pelosi and Reid, who get away with it all the time.)
