My favorite old union organizing song is “Which Side Are You On?”

I structured a whole labor board case around the words of that song when we removed all our upper level human resources people from the union back in the early ’90s. Thought I’d won that one but I’d only won a battle. The union appealed and with the complicity of holdover Democrats in the AGs office let the appeal drag on until election time and then the case got sold to the Democrats who won the govenor’s race, so back in the union went all the HR people; Democrats do so love to control hiring their friends and firing their enemies.
It always irritates me when people refer to the union guys as thugs. Union guys are goons, we employer guys are thugs, and thus it was, thus it shall ever be.
Nobody much knows all those old organizing and protest songs any more, and there are some good ones. There were several of us in LR who could at least carry a tune and were shameless enough to do so in public. We formed a singing group that we called “The Pinkertons” and were going to perform old union and lefty protest songs at the ever so hippy-trippy “Folk Festival,” but some lost their nerve and we never did it; wish we had.
If you really wanted to weaken America you cant do it from the outside,way to tough.What you must do is find an INSIDE MAN! He cant fool me,ive traveled the world,and as Governor Jessy Ventura just said on a radio show; We are resented everywhere for owning a piece of everyone elses nation,a base here,an air strip there not to mention that swirling around them is absolute poverty, low expectations,and a $2.00 a day paycheck. Putin and Hugo Chaves HAVE THEIR MAN! President Obama is nothing more than Fidel Castro with a straight jacket on! Our Navy cant steam on wind power,our dear leader has thrown a sabot into our economic engine,all while being the greatest racist this country has ever known!
