On Tuesday the Mitt Romney campaign requested that Virginia Attorney General investigate a group called the Voter Participation Center. The group, which is a project of the Women’s Voices Women’s Vote organization, has been mailing voter registration forms to Virginians with pre-populated fields in the forms. The forms have been addressed to children, the deceased, felons and even pets, but the forms say that they have been sent because the VPC has determined that the recipient is eligible to vote. Its mailings have raised serious, widespread concerns of potential voter fraud in the swing state.
The Romney campaign’s letter to AG Kucinelli (linked here) spells out several of the potential and serious crimes that these forms suggest, including: Virginia makes it a felony to “intentionally solicit multiple registrations from any one person or intentionally falsif[y] a registration application.”
According to the VPC’s web site, it is a Tides Center project since 2003. The Tides Foundation has long been associated with leftwing causes and Democrat heavyweights including Teresa Heinz Kerry. The VPC’s founder is Page S. Gardner, a long-time Democrat campaign operative who also blogs at the Huffington Post. In an unsigned post on the VPC web site, the group claims that its forms, which include real information about voters and non-voters alike, are the result of a “mistake in the mailing list.” In another post, the group boasts of having sent out 200,000 forms in June 2012 alone.
At the Tatler we have been keeping an eye on this story for several weeks. There is more to come. Stay tuned.

Well, in fact only (brain-)dead, infants, cats and dogs could vote for this administration. Their target is correct.
PS
No offense meant for cats and dogs. They are just not so up-to-date with the info.
According to one of the bloggers on the Richmond Times Dispatch, Moveon.org was lurking in a graveyard writing down names of the dead. To me, this blatant fraud should be plastered all over the news. It sickens me that the DOJ will go after states for requiring voter ID. What will become of our justice system if these things continue to go on right from our government who purports to be our best friend? Where does the average citizen go for true justice? President Obama must know he will loose this election this year if his minions are going to these links just to win…sad so very sad.
Do you have the link to that post handy?
Bryan,
I looked at the link on the drudge and it went to the Richmond Times Dispatch story and I looked at the comments below. It is still there but I cannot get the link to print here. Check it out…

The commenter was a Mike Jones, but they have since removed his comment but you can see where people asked him to take pictures of the incident I mentioned. Maybe the RTD is screening their comments. Damn I wished I printed it all out now..
Many have a problem with a voter I.D. and as a fellow American i can understand it is an inconvenience, but a stolen election is unthinkable, especially this one! Try to get a pertinent I.D. as soon as possible, you should be able to secure one in 3 months. The smoke that ive been seeing about disenfranchised voters and the socialist implied threats of fire on November 7th are things where they only have themselves to blame. I have a bad feeling about this one, especially since i consider an obama voter unstable at best!
The Dead, Infants and Cats and Dogs should only be allowed to vote if they can present a valid ID. That should put the kebosh on this whole scam.
Speaking of “The Dead,” is Jerry Garcia voting this year? He was/is a Democrat, right?
His livers, however, are voting Green and Libertarian.
No,sadly to say he was from Mars.
“She voted Republican all of her life until she died, and now she votes straight ticket Democrat. That’s change you can believe in.”
~an accurate and in context Obama Campaign ad
No BostonLib to remind us this never happens?
see no evil (against obama,) speak no evil (against obama,) hear no evil (against obama)

HALLIBURTON
Although I live in Virginia, I wish to be buried in Chicago so I can stay active in politics.
It’s been my experience that WVWV are stupid enough to buy a list that contains the names of pets thinking they are people. I say that because in 2004 when I was new to this region I received several mailings from WVWV. The fist one urged me to “make a lot of noise” by registering to vote as if I were an undisciplined child. That mailing also instructed me to register at the Courthouse in Franklin, in Macon County, even though I live in Madison County. This was a whopper of a mistake as I have to travel through at least two other counties to get to the town of Franklin. I later got another WVWV mailing urging me to early vote that once again sent me to the Franklin County Courthouse.
Programs that can tie a given USPS address to another location such as a county courthouse are widely available. Since zip codes seldom cross county lines and there are only a handful of zip codes in most rural counties the mistake on these mailings was unbelievably stupid. Somehow I suspect it may also be par for the course at any program that is part of Tides.
