The coffee and hot dog carts were located in Civic Center Plaza, the same location as the Occupy San Diego protesters.
That group first settled in to the plaza Oct. 7 and set up a tent city which has since twice been taken down by police.
Coffee cart owner Linda Jenson and hot dog cart operators Letty and Pete Soto said they initially provided free food and drink to demonstrators, but when they stopped, the protesters became violent.
And according to one city councilman, bodily fluids were used in the attacks.
“Both carts have had items stolen, have had their covers vandalized with markings and graffiti, as well as one of the carts had urine and blood splattered on it,” said Councilman Carl DeMaio.
The damages will likely require at least a complete cleaning if not a replacement of the cart covers, DeMaio said.
The lovely, peaceful and tolerant occupiers are also said to have hurled death threats at the food vendors. Elsewhere in the occupation, they had to set up a lice tent after an outbreak swept through the Oakland camp.
And in the original Wall Street occupation, life is so grand they have had to set up a rape shelter.
The safety measure comes amid a terrifying spree of sexual assaults — including an alleged rape — in the Zuccotti Park camp.
Kitchen worker Tonye Iketubosin, 26, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly groping an 18-year-old woman after offering to help set up her tent. He is also a suspect in a rape at the park.
The grope victims include Kara Demetropoulos, who told The Post she was fondled in a tent last Saturday night after accepting a man’s offer of a place to sleep.
Most protesters have not been reporting all the incidents to police — instead preferring to settle things on their own.
The tent and its all-female security detail is the latest crime-fighting measure, and it is already garnering much interest.
The arc of history marches on. Eventually these folks will catch back up with the 21st century one way or another.

Ask anyone who has ever worked at a soup kitchen if some people getting free food are occasionally ungrateful. I’ve had people complain that the portion was too small, or that someone else got 3 cookies and they only got 2. Oh, the horror.
Sort of reminds me of the scene in Forrest Gump where the war protestor is beating up Jenny, saying something like “I’m sorry about beating you up, its just that goddam President Johnson!”
These OWS ingrates believe that everything has to be their way, and if not it’s all your fault. I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone on the left believes that these protests are going to be a net positive for their cause.
One of my high school friends was fatally stabbed by the man he was serving at a soup kitchen. That was 37 years ago.
What about men who are unattractive and therefore unfairly deprived of sex? Why should the top 20% enjoy 80% of the goodies? And god only knows what the top 1% of men enjoy. It’s outrageous, a crime against humanity. When viewed in the proper progressive context, rape is entirely justifiable. Any good liberal should celebrate collectivizing an activity that should be freely distributed to everyone. If some china is broken in the process, it is simply the price that must be paid for fairness.

You may think that is satire, but in the film “There be Dragons”, the communist girl feels it is her duty to sleep with the men in turn, even the unattractive, “to give them some comfort”. Well it is a fact that the difference between the sex you pay for and the sex you get for free is that the sex you pay for is a lot cheaper.

When everything is collectively owned, that includes your body. Thus anyone can lay claim to it for any purpose (including sexual gratification) at any time.
Thus rape no longer exists either. The only crimes remaining would be murder or inflicting permanent harm, as that would deprive the community of resources for no purpose (of course the community can then decide to punish that crime with executing you, or depriving you of your rights in order to be able to force you to work off the damage done).
And thus we return to a system where the only entity owning anything at all is the State, representing the community in its administration of everything.

The sense of entitlement about “stuff” has been around for a while, especially after the advent of the Internet. Napster and its follow-ons were all aspects of the culture that people (read young people) shouldn’t have to pay for what someone else created. The same insolent attitude can be seen in these kid’s outrage at the idea that they’d have to pay anything for medical care, like when they go to the emergency room and have no insurance. Any notions of creative ownership or copyright infringement or rewards for extraordinary effort have been disparaged by legions of brats for a couple of decades now.

I read or heard once (in a movie maybe?) that if you offer a mouse a cookie, he’ll ask for a glass of milk. And if it’s an OWS mouse, he’ll throw things at you if you don’t give it to him.
If the GOP nominee doesn’t take this footage and intersperse it with Obama et al endorsing these cretins, he (or she) deserves to lose the next election. This administration is writing it’s own GOP ads.
The video begins with Obama saying, “We are just five days away from fundamentally transforming America”.
Then a series of photos of OWS and their ‘Kill the Rich’, ‘Destroy Capitalism’ signs, complete with photos of the American Nazi Party, Communist Party USA, and other supporters. Be sure to include the photo of the guy defecting on the police car. Intersperse those images with statistics about unemployment, debt levels, etc.
Then end it with Obama saying, “We’re not anywhere near done.”

The generosity of the food and coffee cart owners was a big mistake. The protestors didn’t deserve the free stuff to begin with and the cart owners have paid dearly for failure to take care of these ingrates indefinitely. These vendors aren’t part of the 1%, I’m sure, but that doesn’t stop the protestors from thinking they should take care of them even if it means the total loss of their own income. It’s obvious the protestors think THEY are the 1% that should get everything handed to them for free and the 99% should foot the bill. I understand they have so completely strapped cities financially that the cities real homeless population is being affected.
Personally, I think these protests are the foundation obama is building from “under the radar” into countrywide riots so he can declare martial law and suspend the constitution and 2012 elections.

I watched many of the videos of the OWS in action that can be found on “conservative” blog sites (Atlas Shrugs, Americans for Prosperity, et al.) and the violence is frightening – and intended. These people are thugs, goons, troglodytes, dysfunctional and a menace in any group of four. They are basically nihilists, who wish to destroy for the sake of destruction. These people have no reason for living, no purpose, no life-affirming values, no ambition, and exist only because of inertia. When it comes out that Obama, Pelosi, and others are pulling the strings and not merely piously “sympathizing” with the OWS mobs, that will more or less seal Obama’s fate in 2012. The Oakland OWS rampage was bad enough, and the Washington DC OWS are just spoiling for a knock-down drag-out with the cops and any civilian who gives them the middle finger. This includes elderly women trying to attend a banquet. They get knocked down first. The news media, as Daniel points out, is also complicit in the chaos and filth and crimes because it wishes OWS to be something it isn’t: populist.
But OWS is more dangerous than the Women’s Temperance Union, whose members often invaded bars and smashed bottles of liquor, while bar patrons looked on because they were too civil to heft them out of the premises by their petticoats. These are not little old ladies and unmarriageable spinsters whose lips would never be touched by a teetotaler’s anyway. These are savages looking for loot and scalps and a chance to disfigure or defecate on what they hate. That will be their sole reward. Whether or not they are professional protesters, I think, is beside the point. They need to have their skulls cracked and their eyes blinded by pepper spray and Mace. Perhaps I have just found the reason I can’t find sponsors for the for profit program I am trying to develop. See, my program focuses on assisting those with physical limitations, through a handicap or age related problem, in ways that make it easier for them to grow their own food. Some things I will charge for, some will be free.
Hmm…..maybe I need to turn my program into something that is totally non profit, lives off the government and teaches my target audience how to get food or anything else they want, totally free! In other words, I need to fine tune my program to teach people how NOT to live in the real world!
