It’s amazing how true history is not taught in school. The Northwest Ordinance signed into law in 1789 forbade slavery in all new Federal territories (i.e. Michigan, Ohio, etc.) In 1808 the slave trade was abolished by Congress. Yet somehow I keep hearing the founders were all pro-slavery. The media & SEIU have gotten away with teaching lies for too long. It wasn’t ’til the Democratic party gained control that they passed the Missouri Compromise in 1820 (post-founder era) which removed the anti-slavery laws earlier stated. Throw in they founded the KKK and yet we let the school systems and media indoctrinate all of us with these bigoted founders lies. Sad indeed!
The Democratic Party nominated one blatant racist after another between its founding to 1924. With the coming of Al Smith–no friend to blacks but no friend to the KKK either–that changed. During the 30′s, black people started to vote Democrat–they sensed a sympathetic ear with FDR and his wife Eleanor. In 1948, a Harry Truman integrated the armed services. In 1964/65, Lyndon Johnson pushed through and signed 2 Civil Rights bills. In the 1970′s, the Democrats expelled the Jim Crow wing while the Republicans welcomed them with open arms. (Nixon’s “Southern Strategy”). That’s why blacks vote Democrat…and in big numbers.
Here’s what I simply do not understand. Blacks hated slavery and hated the idea of being under the thumb of white plantation owners who gave them just enough to live on. Today, blacks want the government to give them just enough to live on, and they are returning to the government run plantation so the government will tell them how they should live, (which btw, is still mostly white men). I just don’t get it.
Interesting this CREATURE klavan makes it all so simplistic and goes ahead and continues to make sure the “subhuman” “negroes” were “so stupid” to “mystifyingly” “vote democrat”…… ENSURING blacks “mystifyingly” continue to vote for democratIC candidates….. of course “klavan” doesn’t bother to point out the HARSH COMPLICATED RATIONALE that brought black americans from the “party of lincoln” to *THE PARTY OF THE ROOSEVELTS*.
HINT: there’s a reason the reSCUMlican party is OVERWHELMINGLY WHITE MALE and NOT hispanics, asians and BLACKS – DESPITE CREATURE “klavan’s” DREAM – are actually moving AWAY from the reSCUMlican party NOW.
Go ahead CREATURE “klavan”: YOU are working against history. As the “party of the white male” YOU are ensuring YOUR *COMING* minority status…….
