Ace rounds up all of the Weinergate coincidences, to which I’ll add another two: It was just a coincidence that Rep. Anthoyn Weiner had spent much of Friday on twitter (where he could tweet publicly as well as direct message, of course) laying in wait for a supposed Clarence Thomas docu-dump; and it was a coincidence that Weiner happened to see the allegedly criminal tweet, and was able to delete the tweet in question within minutes of it going off into the wild, even though he allegedly had nothing to do with sending that tweet in the first place. He’s a regular Twitter Batman.
All just a stack of coincidences, to go along with the tweetee being one of just 91 people he followed, who had happened to tweet that he was her “boyfriend,” and he had just happened to do a time-shout to the city she just happened to live in and which is about 3,000 miles from his district. And it’s surely a coincidence that Weiner DM’d a porn star too. Hot diggety dog, but that’s a lot of very plausible and believable coincidences.
Or, Tony was multi-tasking on twitter as an impatient young man might, tweeting politics in public and something else in private, accidentally used @ when he should have used d, and then tried the “Hacked!” as a cover story.Very simple story, or hideously complex story. Which one makes more sense?
If you’re Huma Abedin, you’d at least ask about the DM to the porn star, no?
Correct me if you disagree, but I have thought for a long time that nestled at the core of modern ‘liberalism’ is a desire for free love with no obligations at all: thus support for abortion, as well as support for pron in all its guises.
I get that feeling too. I used to believe in the old saying “No matter what they’re talking about, they’re talking about money.” Turns out it’s not money. It’s sex. Sick sex. Animalistic sex. Orgiastic sex.
When I try to figure out what Palin Derangement Syndrome is about I just get leftists all flustered. They hate her, hate her, hate her… but they don’t know why. It’s snarling hatred; seeeeeeething hatred. When I press them for details it’s the usual “She’s an idiot,” but they can’t quote for me any dumb thing she said. They just recite lines that Tina Fey did in some sketch comedy.
I keep pushing and I find out that it’s “That wholesome family routine” that makes them angry. Of course, “it’s a lie” they tell me, because her daughter had an out-of-wedlock kid. (For the record, lefties, Christianity doesn’t pretend that there’s no such thing as an out-of-wedlock pregnancy. It just tells you that that’s the time when you have to grow up and take responsibility. You did the grown up deed, now BE the grown up. The left hates that idea.)
Everything they’re pushing now – abortion, gay marriage – is only the beginning. There’s a lot more hiding in the wings. They love gays because gays are thoroughly irresponsible and horny. They want that attitude brought into the mainstream culture.

Very strange that after three hours of silence on twitter, he gets hacked, and sees the message within minutes, and removes it, posts five new messages without mentioning a thing about it, and then jokingly states he was hacked… Not buying it.
Maybe he didn’t mean to send the DM to GN, but someone else, or maybe she is *gasp* denying any inappropriateness, but I am not buying his denials. His actions just don’t ring true.
Occam’s razor points to this being Weiner being naughty, getting caught, and now scrambling to cover his… er… backside.
I don;t think Occam’s Razor means what you think it means. It actual states that as more information is available you should shift to the more complicated explanation. You should tend towards the simpler explanation, but not jump to it.
First off, I don’t think someone who can’t tell when to use a semicolon (;) and when to use an apostrophe (‘), and who can’t spell “actually” should be lecturing on what Occam’s razor means.
Second, you really should read up more on Occam’s razor. The actual meaning (note the correct use of the word “actual,” as opposed to using “actual” when one should use “actually,” please) as defined by the Encyclopaedia Brittanica is (emphasis mine):
Hence, my statement is correct. The theory that Weiner is trying to cover up an embarrassing situation is far simpler than positing someone breaking into both his yfrog account and his Twitter account, putting the incriminating photo in the yfrog account and sending the embarrassing tweet.

Tony is lying, and no I can’t prove it I just feel it. The neat thing about his lying is that the more he lies the harder it becomes for Tony to keep his lies straight, so to speak, so that he knows which lie he’s been talking about at any given time. Eventually the truth will come out. But since Tony is a democrat, and a NY democrat at that, he’s going to skip away from this scandal without any problem. Course it might be more then a couple of years before his wife allows him to get intimate again…at least with her.
Run Sarah, Run…and while you are at it, pick Michele Bachmann as your running mate…That would put two nuclear weapons in line to detonate and rid the world of the Republican party in one fell swoop!!
