Meaning he is a tired, derivative bit of entertainment that tries to be cool by using a modern technology (3D, twitter) but everyone can see through it anyway.
Where’s Obama’s plan to reform medicare? The same place you’ll find the Republicans’ plans to reform healthcare in 2009-2010. And also the democrats’ plan to reform SS in 2005 when Bush was stomping hard for its privatization. When your opponents are being flayed for proposing something unpopular, the best thing to do is to either pile on or step aside and remain above the fray as it is. Obama is playing this perfectly. Let the republicans keep campaigning on and defending their vote to end medicare.
Also too the zinger as it were is not actually much of one. Pub crawling? T-Paw’s drawing attention to the fact that Obama is someone that’s laid back enough to heft a pint of irish? In other words, someone I can have a beer with? Okay…different strokes I guess.
