Well, he certainly represented the aspirations of most Californians well in that regard. [ducking and covering...]
In Arnie’s book “Pumping Iron” he talks about how he became “the greatest human being of all time” and the most perfect human ever.

i voted for arnold twice, wait, only once
the first was the recall election and the second i voted for myself
the first election, the only alternatives were t mcclintok or cruz bustamonte
arnold was riding the populist wave when the whole process became a circus

and mcclintok did not do a good job at presenting his case (as most california republicans)
california also suffers from “the lesser of evils” affect in all elections
rarely is there a conservative that i can feel good about supporting
(reason for voting for myself in 2nd arnold election)
however, i do take heart in the matter as it seems there is a majority of california voters that would respond to a strong, principled, and articulate conservative (look at the voting data in arnolds elections); this person would have to be savvy in the press and adept with new media but i feel it coming; i think the illusion of the left’s stranglehold over the state can be shattered by the right candidate
