PJM revelations on Holder terrorism prosecutions spur Rep. Peter King to demand answers

Patrick Poole has broken a pair of stories at PJM detailing how the Obama Department of Justice has allowed politics to scuttle terrorism prosecutions. Now, Rep. Peter King (R-NY) is demanding answers:

U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, has demanded an explanation from Attorney General Eric Holder as to why he decided not to prosecute the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), its co-founder Omar Ahmad, and other named unindicted co-conspirators in the Hamas terror finance case, United States v. Holy Land Foundation.  The other unindicted co-conspirators include the Islamic Society of North America and the North American Islamic Trust.

In a letter to Holder, King wrote:  “I have been reliably informed that  the decision not to seek indictments of the Council on American Islamic Relations (“CAIR”) and its co-founder Omar Ahmad, the Islamic Society of North America (“ISNA”), and the North American Islamic Trust (“NAIT”), was usurped by high-ranking officials at Department of Justice headquarters over the vehement and stated objections of special agents and supervisors of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as the prosecutors at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Dallas, who had investigated and successfully prosecuted the Holy Land Foundation case.  Their opposition to this decision raises serious doubt that the decision not to prosecute was a valid exercise of prosecutorial discretion.”

King’s letter is here. Keep your eyes on the Tatler, PJM and PJTV for further developments.

while i am ecstatic this is happening i am still left wondering why it has taken so long for king (or any of our esteemed leaders) to ask these questions. he just now found out about it? most of us have known about it for a very long time. these people need to get out more

I think this is ‘fast action’ as the Russians say. I don’t know when mr king was informed. If his party wasn’t in the majority,no hearings would have been held. Now,the AG will have the fun of being questioned under oath. This isn’t pleasant for a liar.penalties exist.

Really now. Does this come as a surprise? From the very early days of this regime when they fired the Inspector General investigating suspicious political payoffs in San Francisco to the sweeping under the rug of the New Black Panthers voter intimidation and now this. This bunch will go to great lengths to appease our enemies and will stoop to unimaginable depths to avoid doing their duty.

I am just thankful for Mr. King and others that they have stepped up to the front line. GOD knows most of the elected officials do not have the back bone to even stand up, they are to busy lining their own pockets. thank you Mr King for stepping out.

Thank you Congressman King. Please don’t let this DOJ continue to sweep high pofile cases under the rug. The Black Panthers were found guily by the DOJ then the order came from barry hussein odumbo to NOT prosecute any of them. Now this. It is an outrage that these criminals in the White House and their tax evading criminal supporters get away with thumbing their nose and wiping their butts with the Constitution of the United States. Where is the RULE OF LAW that these people are supposed to follow?? There must be consequences for these crimes. eric holder is one of barry’s puppets and he also thinks he is above the law. “We The People” are watching. Both holder and hussein should be investigated and tried for treason then shot or hanged by their necks until dead!!
