Wisconsin refuses to give up the mantle of “American Hot Spot,” and the battleground has moved from the capitol dome to the court house steps… to, actually, the voting booth.

Current Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser is up for re-election. Fighting him for the spot is Assistant Attorney General JoAnne Kloppenburg. This is a battle being watched closely by pro-union forces, Tea Party members and the citizens of Wisconsin. With the election on April 5th, Wisconsin will know if elections have consequences, or if unions can spend their way to victory — with the citizens’ money. This election will, in many ways, decide the future of collective bargaining, public employee unions and lawmaker action.
