Donald Rumsfeld v. Andrea Mitchell
Do you miss the Rumsfeld pressers as much as I do? Then you might like to watch him shred MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell and if it occurs to you that she’s obviously carrying Colin Powell’s water, remember he’s her good friend, one of the very few people invited to her wedding to Alan Greenspan.

Snork,
Try it now.
We were correcting it at the same time, Ed. Thanks, snork , for letting me know the link was in error.
Since Rummy has been making the rounds hawking his new book much of the history that was actively being re-written by the MSM is being corrected. Rummy outsmarted them again by providing mountains of supporting documentation available for ALL to see on his website. I can only imagine the poor website builder who works for him.
Thanks for the link, Clarice. Rummy can still slice and dice the MFM and their myths and memes, and never miss a beat!
Great Interview.
Thanks for posting that Clarice.
Rummy destroyed Mitchell… He has a razor sharp memory and all she has is partisan talking points…
That was great. Thanks!
I sure do miss him. When Rummy was in office, I signed up for emails from DoD so I could make sure to catch the whole press conference whenever he spoke.
Sometimes I would watch CNN that night just to see what they would do with whatever snippet they picked–invariably they would try to twist the meaning by placing the snippet in a different context.
For a while I enjoyed watching this game. But eventually it stopped being amusing…
Don’t mock Andrea Mitchell on this — because wouldn’t it be nice if this scene were replayed over and over. This interview reached an audience far-removed from our echo-chamber, an audience not receptive to Rumsfled’s arguments. And it probably caused at least a few people to rethink their opinion, as previously unconsidered information was presented.
A softball interview would not have nearly as much power to change minds as a hardball interview where everything is fielded well.
