Will Obama meet with Chinese dissidents as Hu comes to Washington?

The Tatler has learned that nine human rights groups have challenged President Obama to meet with Chinese dissidents in advance of next week’s visit by Chinese President Hu Jintao.    Lots of luck.   They sent a letter to the President asking him to “shift” his weak Chinese human rights policy, which has ignored crack downs on Tibetan, Chinese and Uighurs.   Earlier this year the Chinese had a meltdown when one of their imprisoned  human rights activists won the Nobel Peace Prize.
