On the day of the Minnesota caucus, shocking video from James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas – broken here first at PJ Media – shows how easy it is to register NFL stars Tim Tebow, Tom Brady and practically anybody else to vote in that state.

No identification of any sort is needed, just a name! In fact, you can take 20 application forms home, fill them in, check the “no ID” slot and batch register people in absentia. Even local election officials are dismayed with the complete lack of authentication of any sort. On the video, they admit “We’re not the police.”

But requiring IDs would disenfranchise imaginary voters.

    • And dead ones.

    • SUSANM

      sounds ok to me.

    • Ghostbuster

Yesterday, upon the stair, I met a man who wasn’t there. He wasn’t there again today. Oh how I wish he’d go away.” (Hughes Mearns, 1899) The more things change…
What *I* want to know is, do any of these people who don’t have IDs drive THEMSELVES to the polls? If so, I s’pect it IS a “Police matter!”

  2. 2. RC

They are right, they aren’t the police…their responsibilities are far more important and fundamental than the police’s.

    • elkh1

Ah,requiring ID is racist. The poll workers and police will be breaking Minnesotan election laws if they asked for ID’s.

Ghost voters are cushion voters to ensure Dem wins in competitive elections.

      • Bryan

I see no reason that Republicans couldn’t work the system to their advantage in this same manner. No reason but propriety. Perhaps that is reason enough?

        • Voyager

More than reason enough. If we don’t stand for honesty in government, then we are no better than the democrats.

        • Robert

Corruption met with corruption? Isn’t that how we got in this mess? Further, the way you gain power is the way you use power.

  3. 3. JFM

Al Franken, the Senator from Minnesota who cast the deciding vote for Obamacare, was elected by a very narrow margin that was probably puffed up with fraudulent votes.

    • CraigZ

      Probably?

    • CR

Yeah, those 2500 votes found in the trunk of an abandoned car “probably” swung the election in Stuart Smalley’s favor.

And, yes, it is not even a respectable fraud if the Manning brothers are being systematically excluded!

    • kernel hankel

Ya so I think I still got some of them Franken ballots in my fish house if ya need em.

    • SukieTawdry

Minnesota is one of the states where George Soros’ Secretary of State Project was successful. Mark Ritchie was very helpful to the DFL during the Coleman/Smalley recount.

If I had my druthers, we’d have to show a SS card or birth certificate at the point of registration and a picture ID with current address at the polls.

  4. 4. sol

Their job is to keep the DFL in office and to make sure Obama wins. Eternal health to Obama our Leader

  5. 5. cfbleachers

Any state that selected Jesse Ventura and Al Franken to represent them doesn’t really care about who votes for what.

This is a state that is holding a final exam on the honor system, in a school that has no honor.

This is a political system that has the flavor of the Norwegian Nobel nominating committee. They cheapen the process by making it meaningless, then walk around feeling superior because they kicked the process “in the shin”.

It’s an unserious political state. That finds new and interesting ways to embarrass itself. Lovely people otherwise, just a cosmic joke in politics.

    • Blackwing1

C’mon, CF…this is Minnesnowta, the state that SIMULTANEOUSLY sent Com-bloc’er Paul Wellstone and fascist-winger Rod Grams to the Senate.

      We’re not “unserious”, just schizophrenic.

On the other hand, we’ve got Mark “Are my medications adjusted” Dayton as governor, so who knows?

      • SukieTawdry

Yeah, politically Minnesota is, shall we say, unique. You did produce one of the last honest liberals though: Hubert Humphrey. Hubert and I were far apart on many issues, but I loved the guy. Sunny disposition and a great sense of humor.

      • creeper

From sunny Iowa, to my neighbor Blackwing1 in Minnesnowta…thanks for the laugh.

    • Bob Jordan

You remind me of Abraham Lincoln…and his famous saying, ” It’s best to keep keep your mouth shut and be thought a FOOL…than to open it and remove ALL DOUBT

  6. 6. drjohn

Coming up for 2012- rampant democrat fraud. Buckle up.

  7. 7. Insufficiently Sensitive

They’re not the police, and they get bonuses for registering more ‘voters’ than the guy at the next desk.

  8. 8. Eli Manning

Hey, what happened to me? I won and I didn’t get to vote in MN!

    • guthriej

Eli? Eli, is it really you?

    • Peyton

Knock it off, Eli, or I’ll have to give you a wedgie.

      • Bryan

Heh. Big brothers never lose their status, rings notwithstanding. It’s an iron law. I say this as a youngest brother.

  9. Minnesota, where Democracy came to die.

Thanks for ruining my day, James and Roger. I can only imagine the likes of Thomas Jefferson et al are twirling in their graves.

    • Mara

You can be sure they’re voting Democrat in Minnesota at the same time!

  10. 10. tanstaafl

Oh yes, Minnesota, the land where Stuart Smalley was “selected” for a seat in the United States Senate.

The democrat machine was very proud of itself for manipulating that travesty into existence.

  11. 11. Jerry Mann

Hey, can any of us non Minnesotans obtain a sheet of these forms so we can vote? Lets make it a national election all in one state.

  12. 12. Fail Burton

We effectively have no borders and a sitting President who tacitly cozens voter fraud via ACORN 2.0 redux or whatever the eff name those racist morons go by now. The MPLS-St. Paul area is just about as politically correct as it comes. Say ‘racist’ and they stand to attention to do the bidding of the Third World like robots.

  13. 13. kb

James O’Keife is a great man doing great things to help this country.

This is the kind of discovery that makes me hate the Democrat party all over again. One comes across people who tend to think that both parties are the same, yada yada yada, that they only want power… but the truth is that Democrats not only want the power (which is coincidental to politics), but are willing to cheat, and not just cheat, but also invalidate their integrity by making blatantly stupid accusations of racism, and the like. One may also try to say, well, both parties have those who take advantage of lax voter registration… but, again, only one party is opposing efforts to have fair elections.

    • Patriot493

      From Wikipedia:
‘Investigations by both legal authorities and journalists have found O’Keefe has “selectively”, “heavily” or “deceptively” edited secretly recorded videos to leave a false impression and present the subjects in the worst possible light.’

Read the rest of the Wikipedia entry and find out what a sleazeball O’Keefe is.

      • John J

        You’re kidding, right?
If you are actually using “journalists” and “legal authorities”, let alone wiki-frikkin-pedia as sources to win an argument on PJ Media, you must work for the Obama for Life Committee, yourself.
        Or you’re just really stupid.

      • Micha Elyi

Wikipedia? Ha ha. Outside of certain realms of technical information, it’s an opinion journal of the subversive Left.

      • John Cunningham

Patriot 493, just how stupid are you? Aside from geography and non-political bios, Wikipedia is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Left. O’Keefe posted the entire, unedited video…

      • Dave Surls

I found out that lefty pols and lefty “journalists” don’t care for him. But, that’s hardly news.

Gee, Governor Moonbeam and his henchmen don’t care for James O’Keefe’s little tricks. Well, color me surprised!

    • Alana

      What integrity?

    • Bigdaddyvike

      That’s right, and it’s yours.

    • Joe

There is no doubt that the demz harvest the dead, bus the illegals from casinos and union halls, and hire every thirsty bum they can find to vote the machine, repeatedly.

But I would not be so quick to sanctify the GOP given the results of the Iowa and Nevada caucuses. c.f. http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/politics/10793-some-call-nevada-caucus-suspicious

The establishment, be they food-stamp or bankster moguls, want to keep their gravy trains rolling along. They ALL bear watching closely.

      • creeperc

“But I would not be so quick to sanctify the GOP given the results of the Iowa and Nevada caucuses.”

Conceded. But Iowa Reps at least had the guts to sack that manipulating state chairman.

  14. 14. Jackson

But I have been assured by Democrats of all shapes, sizes and colors, that voter fraud is a fantasy of the right.

And I can hear their absurd reply right now — “James O’Keefe is the one committing voter fraud! Nobody else is. Nobody!” Which is a demonstrable lie.

  15. 15. MN J

Finally – I’ve been involved in election integrity operations for four cycles – two, state wide. MN election law is like Swiss cheese – full of holes.

There are no checks, no matter what our SoS says.

Some of these people are innocent. Most just don’t want to rock the boat but Senator Coleman lost by 312 votes – I won’t list the number of questionable votes and ballots that should not have been counted. In addition, MN elections always seem to have more ballots than voters ….. wonder why?

  16. 16. RockThisTown

Yep, as several have already pointed out, this is the land where Stuart Smalley was elected (er, I mean fraudulently installed) U.S. Senator. I now wonder whether any Democrat across our great fruited plain has ever been elected fair and square without some form of cheating occurring. I’m guessing not.

  17. 17. Nerdie McSweatervest

As a Vikings fan, I have mixed feelings about this.

  18. 18. Webutante

Don’t worry Eli, we’ll make it all up to you by registering you in Chicago a half a dozen times, and maybe Vermont, California and Connecticut. You’ll be just fine.

  19. 19. CR

Hey, this is Minnesota we’re talking about here. I would expect registrations from Brett Favre, Paul Molitor, George A. Hormel, etc.

  20. 20. LGoPs

A people that don’t get boiling mad over vote fraud are a people that deserve everything they get.

  21. 21. LGoPs

Notice item #6 on the Registration Card? Where it asks for date of birth? See where it is qualified with (not today’s date)?
A ringing testimonial, if ever there was one, to the America’s education system.
If you have to be instructed on the fact that the date of your birth is not today’s date then you are too stupid to live, let alone vote.
    Sheesh.

    • mlb

The whole application is embarrassing…the first two questions are ridiculous- assuming that you don’t know that you have to be an American citizen or 18 and over to vote! Come on!

If they check that last box I hope their voter registration gets turned over to the IRS for further investigation for not having a SSN.

    • Lily

How kind of them to provide a simple reminder to those who were born yesterday that yesterday is not the same day as today.

  22. 22. kobe

If they don’t require any ID, then why even ask for items like “Are you a US citizen”, or “Will you be at least 18…”?

  23. 23. Mnbillyboy

Did you see where you are required to fill in a MN drivers license number?
    Anyone ?
I bet Tom Brady couldn’t fill in Number 7 on the form.

    • Jeff Gauch

Not too hot on the reading comprehension, are you? In that block you have three options:

      1) Check the first box and provide a MN DL#
      2) Check the second box and provide your last 4
      OR
      3) Check the third box and provide no number whatsoever.

At no point are you REQUIRED to provide a driver’s license number.

      • Grant D

Correct. You do have the option to check the “I fail” checkbox.

This would be meaningful if the full 1 hour video shows him receiving confirmation in the mail that he has successfully registered to vote.
Otherwise it just proves the existence of free will for people armed with a pen and a piece of paper.

  24. 24. J.H. Dove

Now we know why a Sen Al Franken exists.

  25. Is anyone really surprised? After all, the phony in this video got elected. http://youtu.be/8qHmXMMCrlI

  28. 28. JFM

Here in Minnesota, I don’t need to show a picture ID to vote.

However, I do need to show a picture ID to swim at my local “Y.”

    • Minnesota Prats

Hey JFM, if you’re a white man and it’s a Y “W,” look at their Minneapolis website. At the upper left it says “Empowering women, eliminating racism.” If you follow the appropriate links to symposiums, literature, etc., you’ll learn that by “racism” this means you. The front vestibule would make you think it’s a refugee center in Bosnia. They’re Dohrn and Ayers in bicycle pants and they don’t like America.

Except for the Rainbow Coalition roll call of appropriate victims of appropriate gender, orientation and race. They’re perfectly fine a-okay.

  29. 29. Al the fish

“Hi, can I please have 30 forms to take back to my family in the cemetary?”

WOW! Does this mean I can skip over the border and vote in MN?

  30. 30. arnold schwertman

Isn’t it funny the one caught doing voter fraud was the the Secretary of state a republican from Indiana. must confess that a weird state but of course it brought us bat shit bachmann.

O’Keefe and company need to be very watchful – the Ruling Elite are NOT happy with him pulling back the curtain to reveal the man behind.

If you think there is any semblance of democracy or a functioning electoral system in this country, you are fooling yourself.

    Orion

    • Grant D

Do you mean in the sense of the authorities don’t like it when felons on probation commit more felonies?

    • Dave Surls

What do you expect in a country where the biggest political party has a long, long history of rigging elections via systematic fraud, political terror and cold-blooded murder.

At one time the Democrats used the Redshirts and the Klan in the same way the Nazis used the S.A., to brutalize and kill anyone who stood in their way, and that includes killing people who might vote Republican. And, when they weren’t doing that, they were rigging elections via massive systematic fraud from Jim Crow Alabama to Tammany Hall New York.

And, it’s the same old political party, folks, it’s just the rigging techniques that have changed.

Our electoral system has always been a sick joke. We’re a great country in spite of our electoral system, not because of it.

  32. 32. PeteRyan6360

While Mr. O’Keefe was asking leading questions, only one of the officials appeared to give him an indirect warning that voter fraud was a crime, (well actually, she warned that the person completing the form was swearing that the information provided was true and correct. It never appeared on their radar. Then they mentioned that nothing would be done until after the fact. And who notices the fraud and who swears out a complaint? What is the proof of the fraud? How can one prove who completed the form?

Can you imagine asking a bank what would be required to open an account without any ID, admit that the account holder will not appear at anytime, ask about the security around the bank, and no one bothers to question what you are doing? The teller informs you that the bank will never know if the account is legit until someone complains? Then, the teller hands you a bunch of forms and says, “thanks for opening a bunch of new accounts?”

    Me, neither.

  33. 33. Bigdaddyvike

I notice that only the Republicans seem to be worried about “voter fraud”. Very telling, that.

    • daveinga

yes, people with something valuable to protect usually do try to take measures to ‘worry about’ and protect what they value. it is thieves and scoundrels you have to watch closely as they have no respect for the rights of others. that is very telling too.

  34. 34. Isahiah62

do other states do it like this?? which ones? in Florida we have to show photo ID, Dl or passport- to get a new DL or renew an old one-you have to show proof of citizenship. The county issues phot ID to non-drivers.

  35. 35. Robert Smith

Do the Republicans want to remove personal responsibility in favour of State regulations now?

    I certify that I:
    • will be at least 18 years old on election day;
    • am a citizen of the United States;
    • will have resided in Minnesota for 20 days immediately preceding election day;
    • maintain residence at the address given on the registration form;
    • am not under court-ordered guardianship in which the court order revokes my right to vote;
    • have not been found by a court to be legally incompetent to vote;
    • have the right to vote because, if I have been convicted of a felony, my felony sentence has expired (been completed) or I have been discharged from my sentence; and
    • have read and understand this statement, that giving false information is a felony punishable by not more than 5 years imprisonment or a fine of not more than $10,000, or both.

  36. 36. Lord of the Fly

But the Democrats say there is no voter fraud in the US. Don’t Democrats always tell the truth?

  37. 37. Grant D

Sorry, what’s the scoop here? That if you have a pen and a piece of paper you can write whatever you like using only the power of free will?

Either the 1 hour video shows him waiting at home to successfully receive his confirmation of his local polling place in the mail, which would actually confirm he registered, or it doesn’t. Without that, you’ve proven people with thumbs can write on and handle paper.

I put “fail” checkboxes on the forms I use for business. It means people won’t incorrectly check others that they’re not eligible for and speeds up processing. It’s pretty basic logic.

The website explaining what’s required to register to vote and what a successful registration looks like explains this, along with why this could be a very expensive survey in gullibility.

  38. 38. Grant DD

  39. 39. K.T.

Minnesota officials probably won’t issue an arrest warrant for Mr. O’Keefe unless he professes a desire to vote republican.

  40. 40. MN

You even get to vote in Minnesota without an ID as well. You walk in, tell them your name (or any name), if they see it on their list they give you a ballot and presto–you get to cast a vote. I wish cashing a check would be this easy.

    • Fail Burton

Anyone who’s walked by the check cashing places in Minneapolis knows they are full of black folks without ID or bank accounts. Since I’ve lived in MPLS all my life I’ve walked by the ones on Lake St. and 7th St. downtown a thousand times.

I guess check cashing places aren’t racist or seek to deprive minorities of an easy and Constitutional means to cash personal checks and paychecks. In fact, being a business model that needs to have a solid means of verification for basically the same reason as gov’t does with voters, they show the common sense and lack of race-based political correctness our own gov’t can not deliver. Congratulations depraved, bullet-proof-windowed, check-cashing places; you trump democracy and have probably enabled more quick drug deals than any single entity in the United States. Perhaps, on some far flung day, the U.S. gov’t will raise itself to a similar level.

  41. 41. Dave Surls

    “Sorry, what’s the scoop here?”

There’s no scoop. Sometimes people even register their dogs to vote, just to show what a joke the system is.

“It only took three elections for King County officials in Washington state to recognize that registered independent voter, Duncan M. Macdonald, is a dog.”

“Seattle resident Jane Balogh says she registered her Australian shepherd-terrier mix to prove that the identification requirements for voter registration make it easy to engage in voter fraud.”

“Washington state requires that voters present just one item from a list of easy-to-obtain documents, such as a pay stub or government check, to prove identity. Prospective voters are not required to present passports, photo ID, or even a social security number.”–ABC, 2007

No scoop, just business as usual.

    • Grey Houndt

A dog would be less partisan than black folks and Latinos who never, ever vote by skin color.

    • Grant D

So you’re saying Washington’s a problem but this is BS just like I suggested? Well ok.

Maybe that’ll become an issue when we start seeing those Washington state recount headlines like…. oh wait.

      • Dave Surls

“So you’re saying Washington’s a problem but this is BS just like I suggested?”

Obviously, I don’t agree with you, and you lie like a Democrat when you suggest otherwise.

Because America is full of people like Grant, who will basically lie at the drop of a hat if, they think it will serve their purpose, we need safeguards. That’s if you’re interested in having honest elections, of course.

Honor systems only work if you’re dealing with honorable people, and the folks in the Jim Crow Party ain’t honorable, and neither are their adherents. They’ll do anything to get they want. You can ask Slick Willy about that one.

Demanding that people present identification when they register and/or vote isn’t going to fix everything, but it will make it a bit harder for dead Democrats and illegal aliens to vote. Unfortunately, it won’t stop leaders of the Democrats from lying under oath, but it will tend to keep their supporters out of voting booths they don’t belong in…and, that’s a good thing.

  42. 42. Thucydides

So this is “no scoop”? The fact that you can say this calmly without the urge to take sudden and immediate action to protect your rights and freedoms (’cause it’s “no scoop”, happens all the time) is probably even more frightening than the confirmation (or reconfirmation) of the ease of voter fraud in the first place.

Better get out and form a “Truth the Vote” organization ASAP and have all hands on deck come November as a very minimum action plan, and also consider how you will correct this travesty to prevent vote fraud in the future.

    • Voyager

Hint: The people claiming “nothing to see here” are the ones who spike the ballots.

    • Dave Surls

Man, calm down. It’s only been a few decades since we convinced the Dem-scum that they shouldn’t ought to kill black people just for trying to vote, and it took about a hundred years just to do that. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

    • Karla, CA

      It’s called “True The Vote.”

  43. 43. northernont

You Americans are a funny lot when it comes to this issue. Here in Canada, in federal elections, ID is required, or at the very least, another voter who possesses the required ID must take an oath at the polling station to vouch for you. Anything else is unacceptable. You can view here http://www.elections.ca/content.aspx?section=vot&dir=ids&document=index&lang=e
for the official rules for voter identification at the polls in Canada. We don’t think requiring ID to exercise a fundamental civic responsibility that effects the lives of fellow citizens is racist. Methinks your system is setup that way to encourage illegal voting by individuals who otherwise would not be eligible to vote. I suspect this activity is already influencing and altering election races that are historically close, in favour of the party that coincidentally opposes requiring voter ID at polling stations. I won’t mention any names though ;)

  44. 44. Dr. Frank Lippenheimer

Yes, it’s true. I live here. I have served as an election judge here, and Minnesota is as systematically corrupt as they come. In Minnesota, trunkloads of ballots go missing and NOBODY is held accountable. In Minnesota, you can actually REGISTER to vote on the very day of any given election. And if you do not have proof of Minnesota citizenship, hey, that’s okay, all you need is for some person (any ol’ person) to “vouch” for you. I kid you not. Electorally-speaking, you would be hard pressed to find a more corrupt state than Minnesota. It is what it is.

  45. 45. Keaton

James O’Keefe , community organizer! Falsely registering white people. There otta be a law.

what do you expect from a state that brought us bat shit http://youtu.be/zORv8wwiadQ

  48. 48. Advo

Voter fraud advocates (democrats usually) can argue all they want that the registrations don’t matter. They’re wrong. In a close election, “found” ballots come out of the woodworks, and if the number of registered voters support it, they can be mixed into the legitimate votes without detection.

That’s how Stuart Smalley got elected. More and more votes appeared from thin air, as if by magic. Almost all for the DFL candidate. They were immediately mixed into the legit ballots until no one could reproduce the original election day tally any more. Fraud, plain, simple and right out in the open.

It starts with the comical registration, but it ends with with a stolen election just as soon as it matters enough to pull out the stops. Minnesota just followed the Washington State governor’s blueprint.

  49. Although Obama won the state by about 10 percent in 2008, Democrat Al Franken defeated Republican Senator Norm Coleman by a mere 225 votes — after a lengthy recount. Coleman had a 215 vote lead on election day, that disappeared after 150 Franken ballots were allegedly counted twice and another 133 were “found.” Franken’s “victory” gave the Democrats a filibuster-proof 60 votes in the Senate. How many fraudulent votes helped Franken, or Coleman, is impossible to determine, but it may very well be the case that one of them actually won by a large margin.
