From Reuters, Al Aqsa promises to “liquidate” any Fatah members who join Hamas. Meanwhile, Haaretz is reporting only five wounded in demonstrations so far. [Are those fatah-lities?-ed. I knew you had potential as a comedy writer.]

    Roger:
Ah, the joys of Palestinian politics. Where war like rhetoric between political parties is not overblown hyperbole as it is in America but promises that are kept. i can just imagine what the first round of negotiations between Israel and hamas will sound like.
Negotiator- ‘I think we can all agree that the current situation is untenable and needs to be changed. Israel-yes. hamas- You bet. N- Lets start by stating our goals and we will see where we stand. I- A peaceful two state solution. H- The destruction of Israel. N- Don’t you think that is a bad start to our talks? H- it is the will of G–d, my hands are tied. I- I am not going to stand around and discuss the destruction of my people. N- Please, please, we must continue to talk, otherwise the cycle of violence will continue. H- Just to show that we are flexible, let me toss up this idea and see if it doesn’t explode. Let me tell you, I am going to have a hard time selling this to my people but here we go. We let the Jews leave the middle east, and just to show that we are open minded, we will let them take their possesions. I- Let me get this straight, you are saying that all the Jews in the middle east have to leave, you have got to be kidding. H- Boy, You jews really know how to bargain. OK, because you are Men of the Book we will let a small number of jews stay as long as they agree to live by our laws. I- Let me guess, are we talking about the dhimmi laws where every Jew has to wear a yellow star and step into the gutter when a muslim walks by, the laws that state that a Jew can’t be be considered a credible witness if the offender is a Muslim, is that what we are talking about? H- Fantastic, you remember, this is going to work out just great. Do you think we will get the Nobel?

It kind of reminds me of a gang war.

There are some folks who just don’t get it about Muslim Arabs and Jews. The devastating post below explains things so that any American with any historical memory can understand perfectly the position of Hamas.
