To facilitate negotiations the United States is now calling Kim-Jong il “Mr. Kim.”

  1. ìAnalysts said the newly moderate tone by the U.S. leaders had made a difference. “The Bush administration made the right move in lessening its own rhetoric and providing Kim Jong-il a face-saving device,” said Stephen Noerper, an East Asian specialist at the Nautilus Institute, a U.S. policy think-tank.î

The North Korean dictator has no interest whatsoever in living up to any agreement with the United States. Kim Jong-il is a self centered thug who will knife us in the back at the first opportunity. John Bolton played the role of the bad cop with his earlier harsh denunciations. The Bush administration can now play the good cop. Win-win resolutions are only possible when both parties are sincere. At the very best, we can hope to outmaneuver ìMr. Kim.î

WHAT? They’re not calling him “Dear Leader”? How embarrassing.

  3. I long for the day when “Mr.” Kim is impaled upon the sort of object which skewered him at the end of Team America.

    America — F**k yeah!

  4. 4. mojo

Well, it beats calling him “hey nutjob”, I guess…

  5. 5. Kyda Sylvester

There are a number of things I’d like to call Kim-Jong il and none of them starts with “Mr”.

  6. 6. Mr. Smith

Mr. Kim? I guess Mr. Maniacal Fasicist Dictator was taken.
