The Arab Spring Will Be A Little Late This Year
The headline says it all: “Egyptian TV Airs Slow Beheading of Tunisian Muslim Who Converted to Christianity.”
Meanwhile, in other news, Hillary Clinton has been yucking it up with Egypt’s new President, Mohamed Morsi. The United States, quoth Clinton, “supports the full transition to civilian rule with all that entails.”
Isn’t that nice? Judging by his grin, Mr. Morsi seemed to like it.
Query: What do you suppose “with all that entails,” um, entails? We know what The New York Times thinks (well, “writes,” anyway: I’m not sure “thinks” is the mot juste when talking about the NY Times). My PJM colleague Rubin got it in one: “Revolutionary Islamists Taking Power Produces Moderation and Ends Terrorism!”
That, essentially, is what H. Clinton, mouthpiece of the Obama administration, wants you to believe. It’s all part of the foundational narrative when it comes to radical Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood. A year and a half ago when Cairo exploded, there was James Clapper, our Director of National Intelligence declaring on national television that the Muslim Brother had “eschewed violence” and was now a “largely secular organization.”
It’s hard to know what to make of Clapper’s apparent howler on television….maybe it was deliberate tongue-in-cheek disinformation?…experienced career survivors like Clapper are no fools….Hilary’s nonsense is arguably just that…nonsense…because she’s just riding on the coattails of being ex-President (and impeached) Clinton’s humiliated wife. Good grief!…what a disgusting, eye rolling choice for Secy. of State of these United States…..
It’s reached the point where what we read/hear via our news media becomes more fuzzy by the day…everything now is so politicized…..best to take these breathless “reports” of this and that in stride with a dose of indigestible laxative salts and wait to see what frankly undeniable results finally appear.
Apparently this Opra television personality-character has interviewed the Romney’s ….no end to this B.S. What a downward leveling of worthless “opinion” she represents.
All so very sad just now for our great Nation during this Obama “administration”. It’ll be a generation before this Obama debacle dissipates.
I think part of the problem is that this Administration is behaving like a collection of scoundrels. Plus they really are trying to stealthily fundamentally transform American society, our economy, our underlying values, and our federal system and constitutional limitations on legitimate government reach.
So when they encounter scoundrels elsewhere, there seems to be a “who are we to criticize?” dialogue.
Or they are seeking subtle subjugation hints from long term experts.

The scary part of this “evolution” of our selfish politics is that 52% of our voters actually put that Affirmative Action creation inside the Oval Office sitting at that particular desk….and they’re still waiting out there, caring less about his “performance”, they just want to stick it to the Establishment.
At my age I can evoke living memories of the Franklin Roosevelt times, and recall the cries of FDR being a “Traitor to his Class.”…..that used to mean something, and it wasn’t snobbish.
“Where have all the Patricians gone”…..finish those lyrics to suit.
Now…..we have the epitome of a lack of “class” and all of the formerly respected characteristics that that used to represent, sitting at the desk inside that very same office (albeit renovated with no surviving original materials). The “yes I can!” wife of the president jetting off with entourage-claque to Spain….at the first opportunity…not even a decent interval with an ostensible purpose……just, “Yes! I! Can!…..Now!”
To me, that major White House renovation, Truman’s, [..it's a very interesting story...look it up...] is even more symbolic with the passing of that previous Age…having it’s own scoundrels from time to time, of course, but good grief!…look at the low personal calibre of the current scoundrel pulling levers behind the media-hidden curtain.
I wish we’d wake up to this stark contrast…this new lethal “political correctness”.
“The Arab Spring” is another symptom of our changing Age….only this cycle around….just look at the major players wallowing now at our publicly-paid trough.

Brilliant analysis – it’s all about domestic politics… Just how stupid can these people be?
There are many other “brilliant” insights like that and quite a few factual errors and ommissions. When it comes to describing what Israelis think or believe about anything they are 100% wrong. They either get misinformation from misinformed sources or just don’t understand what they’re told.

At what point will folk wake up to the fact that Hillary is the worst Sec. of State in the post war era? 50 years hence? Frankly I did not think anyone could be less competent than Madeleine the Clueless, but I was wrong. I realize the adulation heaped on her for being able to stand by her man in the face of serial adulteries as well as our greatest First Lady,equally culpable, er capable, Jacqueline Kennedy, but that is just feminist claptrap. Can’t any of our wondrous foreign policy pundits recognize the obvious?
But it won’t as late as Recovery Summer. That’s going on 3 years now.
Although I’ve never watched a Muslim beheading video, whenever I hear about one I look up the photos of the dead Hamas goons surprised by Israel in their camps at the beginning of Operation Cast Lead. They all have the same dumb expression on their face, like, “Huh?”
But the best is the screeching, wailing, hysterical survivors, doing that cartoon, two-handed “WHY?!” gesture at the camera.
Cheers me right up every time. That and gun-camera footage from Apache helicopters firing 30mm cannons into these time travelers from the 9th century.
I look forward to the day when we never have to hear a word from or about Muslims, because we no longer buy their oil and because they’ve devolved so far below the level of the civilized world that they’re just an irrelevant cauldron of idiotic savagery that’s achieved virtual self-annihilation.

…..but, I’m afraid that that day will be a long time coming because it isn’t just the cursed oil…..it’s the Muslim/Islamist strategy of infiltration which has resulted in the reality now that Muslims/Islamists are already so deeply entrenched/infiltrated inside our country with their mosques and madrassas, with their very evident and strident C.A.I.R., their Saudi financed committees, “chairs”, and whatnot at Georgetown University in our Nations Capital, and their “lawfare” popping up at contrived issues/moments…..on and on….all of their activism is very similar in strategy and tactics to that of the Soviet moles during the Cold War.
Sadly, all of the above is aided and abetted by our cursed “political correctness”. We Americans need to come to our senses and realize we’re at war against these Muslim/Islamists, and have been since 9/11/01…..just ask them…..they’ll say so themselves….but we won’t accept what they themselves broadcast as their propaganda against all that America stands for.

The people in Egypt have spoken. It’s the hardest part of living with the ideals of republicanism (little R) – befriending nations who choose strikingly different political paths than your own.
Mubarak is gone. He was overthrown. It remains to be seen if his infrastructure will yield to civilian control or if we will get a quasi-military junta.

Nice little bit of progressive propaganda there comrade. I think you mean “left-wing radical Islamists.” Go back and read the article and everything else that’s been printed for the last decade. The only supporters these folks have in the West are the leftists.
It is obvious that Hilary Clinton is a West hating Islamist of the first order. She has filled the state department with Muslims at the behest of her god president Obama. She herself is suffering from self hate and a victim of the Liberal education establishment which has been teaching Americans for fifty years now to hate everything that represents the history and culture of our European ancestors. She and her husband almost ruined this great nation but now she has a second chance serving as a harem girl for her Moslem president and his Chicago gangsters. America is doomed; no doubt. There are not enough Americans left to defend the remnant of a once great society.
So much for smart diplomacy and the promise of the Arab spring. Now we are supporting a government that beheads people for being Christian, and spits on our secretary of state. How much more into craven appeasement can this administration get.
