Grim news from SCOTUS
Earlier today I wrote about some rays of hoppe on the political landscape in the shape of people like Senator Pat Toomey and Senatorial candidate Richard Mourdock. Alas, those glimmers of hope are now, at least temporarily, overshadowed by the grim news that the Supreme Court has decided to endorse the leviathan that is government unlimited: ObamaCare, at least the core of it, stands by a vote of 6-3. There will obviously be much wailing and gnashing of teeth about this by those who cherish individual liberty and are, like the Founders, suspicious of untrammeled state power. But for now it is appropriate to step back, acknowledge the devastation, and attempt to assess the damage.

Not a surprise. When was the last time a US Congress or SCOTUS has taken a significant step to reduce the reach of the Federal government?
Now I can only hope that people will see that where we are headed and turn back before it is too late. At the very least this will energize Conservatives even more.
If we don’t elect fascists like Obama, politicians will not pass fascistic laws like his Obamacare.

There is no silver lining no matter which way you read it. In fact the New American World State and its government has been installed as a fascist dictatorship over all of us. Bring back George III,at least his so called tyranny was mild compared to the rapacious wolves who now prey on the innocent in the New American State. America delenda est.
I understand that people aren’t thrilled with having potentially to pay more money–although, unless I’m mistaken, if people already have insurance they won’t be required to pay anything extra…? It also seems to me that when 30 million people don’t have health insurance that it’s probably not so rare that when they go to the hospital for an emergency there are times when they can’t pay their bills–and so taxpayers are already picking up the bill. Medicare for the elderly is “socialized medicine” and no one seems to be calling to dismantle that. I’m sure there’s a better solution than the specific proposal we call Obama care but I really don’t hear any proposals from the RIght–other than leaving things as they are and it seems to be rather uncivilized to have a society where so many are without any health insurance at all. I suppose it’s an option but I’m not comfortable living in the richest country in the world where people can’t at least have access to some basic health coverage.
