America, the Left’s whipping boy for everything it can’t blame on Israel, deserved 9/11, says Hasan Piker, a commentator on the far-Left web series “The Young Turks.” Piker wrote on Twitter:
America deserved 911…Americas [sic] foreign policy decisions has lead [sic] to 911. this would’ve been a controversial thing to say in 2001. stop being a f***ing idiot. We supplied arms to and trained bin laden. we destabilized the region long before 911. and now we’re stuck in perpetual war, which dan crenshaw was trying to justify in that clip. it’s exactly this kind of attitude that has sent thousands of young men and women overseas to die.
His charm offensive didn’t end there. Speaking about Crenshaw, a Republican congressman from Texas and a former Navy SEAL who lost an eye in combat in Afghanistan, Piker said: “This guy has the understanding of foreign policy of, like, a 12-year-old. What the f***. What the f*** is wrong with this dude? Didn’t he go to war and like literally lose his eye because some mujahideen — a brave f***ing soldier — f***ed his eye hole with their d***?”

In reality, Piker’s understanding of foreign policy is far weaker and filled with misinformation than Crenshaw’s. The U.S. did not supply arms to or train bin Laden, but certainly misguided foreign policy “experts” had the U.S. training other mujahedin in Afghanistan in the late 1980s. Does this justify the murder of 3000 innocent civilians? In Hasan Piker’s mind, yes. And of course his Leftist fan base, ecstatic at finding another reason to hate and denigrate America, eats this stuff up as if it were a tub of Ben and Jerry’s.
All this leads to a larger question: why is Hasan Piker such a jerk? Why are so many of allies and friends jerks as well? Piker’s combination of obscenity and hatred is very common among Leftists and their Muslim allies. Islamic supremacist spokesmen in the U.S., including many who claim to be “moderate” and are lauded by the intelligentsia as wise, broad-minded, tolerant people who are busy building bridges of understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims, are all too often immature, arrogant, foul-mouthed creeps whose idea of a discussion is to hurl insults. The hate fairly oozes from their pores. There are many, many examples of this; Reza Aslan and Omid Safi stand out.
Hasan Piker, as well the legion of other foul-mouthed, rude, and moronic Islamic supremacist commentators on the scene today, may not realize it, but he is imitating Muhammad, the man he believes to be an “excellent example” of conduct, as the Qur’an calls him (33:21). Consider these hadiths, as quoted and annotated by Sam Shamoun:
Ubayy b. Ka’b told that he heard God’s messenger say, “If anyone proudly asserts his descent in the manner of the pre-Islamic people, tell him to bite his father’s penis, and do not use a euphemism.” It is transmitted in Sarah [sic] as-sunna. (Mishkat Al Masabih, English Translation With Explanatory Notes By Dr. James Robson [Sh. Muhammad Ashraf Publishers, Booksellers & Exporters, Lahore, Pakistan, Reprinted 1994], Volume II, Book XXIV — General Behaviour, Chapter XIII. Boasting and Party-Spirit, p. 1021)
That’s not all.
Then Urwah said:
“Muhammad, tell me: if you extirpate your tribesmen, have you ever heard of any of the Arabs who destroyed his own race before you? And if the contrary comes to pass, by God I see both prominent people and rabble who are likely to flee and leave you.” Abu Bakr said, “Go suck the clitoris of al-Lat!” — al-Lat was the idol of Thaqif, which they used to worship — “Would we flee and leave him?” (The History of al-Tabari — The Victory of Islam, translated by Michael Fishbein [State University of New York Press (SUNY), Albany 1997], Volume VIII (8), p. 76)
And in the words of Abu Bakr As-Sideeq to Urwah:
“Suck Al-Lat’s clitoris!” — there is a permissibility of speaking plainly the name of the private parts if there is some benefit to be gained thereby, just as he [Muhammad] permitted a plain response to the one who made the claims of the Jahiliyyah (i.e. claims of tribal superiority), by saying: “Bite your father’s penis!”[3] And for every situation there is a (fitting) saying. Of course these crude abuses is also the Left’s favored substitute for serious discussion today, so Hasan Piker fits right in. Mutually respectful debate? That’s for wimps. As far as the Left and its Islamic supremacist allies are concerned, opponents must be vilified, marginalized, and destroyed. That’s what Hasan Piker is all about. Watch for his star to rise.
