Accomplices to Evil

October 12, 2009 - 2:43 pm - by Michael Ledeen

Here’s yet another powerful video from Iran, this time from the Baha’i, who have long been singled out for special persecution.  There are lots and lots of these videos, as there are lots and lots of innocents being hung, shot, tortured and stoned to death by the butchers who rule that unhappy country.

Every time I watch one of these, I am reminded again of Martin Luther King Jr.’s great line, that when it is all over, we will remember the silence of our friends more than the actions of our enemies.  And so I marvel at the leaders of the West, who with rare exceptions remain silent, and who have become accomplices to evil.

Which is why I wrote Accomplice to Evil, now in the bookstores that will admit to having it…

Michael, I still recall the scene in “Judgment at Nuremburg” when Burt Lancaster is in the dock, and he ends a statement with, “We didn’t want to know” and Werner Klemperer says, “Traitor, traitor!” and then Spencer Tracy slams his gavel repeatedly on the place where the gavel is hit that is in front of the judge.

Those who do not want to take into consideration the depths of man’s inhumanity to man are as fit as a corpse. So, I issue the call again: Who has the cojones to declare
a US government-in-exile, and enact the wise counsel of Michael Ledeen.

With Stephen King’s or H.P. Lovecraft’s work, at least one can put down the book knowing full well that it’s all fiction. You’re off the hook. Not so with Freedom Betrayed or The Iranian Time Bomb. Something tells me that Accomplice isn’t going to lighten one’s mood…

David, I have the cojones. I also have $12.95 to contribute to the effort. So, here you have it: I call for a Government in Exile. Preferably one that will declare war on Norway, after that recent Nobel imbroglio. Michael, will you lead us? I pledge to follow you with the same depth of devotion as a college student follows the adventures of SpongeBob. Or David can lead… Either way.

Accomplice to Evil, indeed is a wonderful and wise title. Unfortunately, today the West lacks the will-power to face the evil!!!

Michael, I wish you all the best with your new book “Accomplice to Evil”. I am sure that it will be read by all the Western leaders and most of policymakers in the West.

My earlier post was intended in jest, so David, I do hope you were not offended. As for Mr. Ledeen, thank you for the valuable service you offer in analysis of all things Iranian. I shall be purchasing your book asap, and am very curious to see which of my local booksellers will offer it.

Wish the book was offered on Kindle Books.

The video claims that the seven Bahai’s are sentenced to death! which is not true at all. About the executions, I have to tell you capital punishment is a penalty in many countries including united states of america. Those who were hanged in the footage were criminals who took other people’s lives or smugglers or both.
