Are you ready for some football? Who isn’t? (Or as Saints fans are screaming now, who dat?) Seattle’s getting ready for an earthquake, and the cameras are getting ready for Tom Brady. San Francisco’s prepping for a much warmer game than last week, and the Chargers are aiming for a mile-high upset.

The sked:

Today, 4:35 p.m. on Fox: New Orleans Saints at Seattle Seahawks

Today, 8:15 p.m. on CBS: Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots

Sunday, 1:05 p.m. on Fox: San Francisco 49ers at Carolina Panthers

Sunday, 4:40 p.m. on CBS: San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos

Here’s how the guys at ESPN are feeling going into this playoff round:

Here’s how Paul Ryan and Patty Murray, budget BFFs, feel going into this round:

And, naturally, here’s how I feel (#QuestForSix):

As a Seattle Area Resident;

I'm driving home from Burien at around 9pm, and ESPN (EastCoast Sports Promotion Network) is playing on the Radio.
Topic of discussion: NFL Playoff Saturday.
Essentially the show consisted of ---
Andrew Luck sure is Awesome - he's going to be the Premier Quarterback of the NFL.
New England has a Running Game
Wasn't Andrew Luck fantastic in that comeback
Wow New England can run and the NFL should be scared
Andrew Luck looked so poised and confident
Wouldn't a Tom Brady vs. Payton Manning playoff be awesome, I mean as an NFL fan...
And Andrew Luck sure led his team well this year.
Oh, yeah, the Seahawks won today
We'll be right back after the top of the hour news...

If it doesn't happen in the Eastern Time Zone or in LA or SF, it doesn't happen as far as the media is concerned. They only notice Manning because there's another Manning that plays in the Eastern Time Zone.

It's hard to like them, but the Patriots were certainly impressive last night. If the Broncos can manage enough of a running game to keep the defense out of Manning's face they'll be formidable; depends on which Broncos team shows up today. As good as he is, even Manning is only as good as his protection.

When in doubt, go with the home teams: Seahawks vs Broncos in the SB.

Maybe - it'll certainly be a close game. Seattle has the best defense of anyone left but I think SF's is underrated. Seattle only gave up more than 21 points 3 times, but SF did that only twice in their last 13 games. SF has scored at least 23 in 6 out of their last 7. Seattle has failed to hit 18 pts. in 2 of their last 5. I just think SF is the better team right now.

NE has held teams under 20 pts. in only 2 of their last 12 and Den. gave up 25 pts. a game. SF can stop either one, neither can stop SF's 25 a game.

SF's up on Car. 23-10 with 5 min. left, so bring on he Boom.

They gave it their all - that tipped pass into Saints hands for 52 yards threatened to derail it for Seattle, but Brees ran cold then hot then cold again

Saints are as much torture as S.F. Giants. Seahawks will host the Panthers. However, Niners will have the new stadium next year with its own seismic possibilities.
