Jail Employee: James Holmes Shows No Remorse
The man who shot up a midnight screening in Colorado is spitting at guards and inspiring other inmates to try and kill him.

The paper says Holmes is in solitary confinement and was placed on suicide watch. Another inmate, Dima Damalov, told the paper that if Holmes was released into the general population he wouldn’t “live to see Monday’s court appearance.”
A jail employee said Holmes “hasn’t shown any remorse” while an unidentified inmate told the paper, “He was spitting at the door and spitting at the guards. He’s spitting at everything. Dude was acting crazy.”

…because he IS frikkin’ CRAZY!
What is it about “crazy” we no longer understand?
Do we see supposed “crazy” in Sheldon Cooper, and think that’s what it looks like? He’s an arrogant, self-centered buffoon and practicing ass. Hardly “CRAZY”.
Thanks to Geraldo Rivera, instead of just firing all the abusive wardens at Willowbrook, we let the inmates out, because they now have “rights”. Including sleeping, peeing and crapping on your sidewalk, a hitherto jailable offense.
The government can stop you from selling lemonade because it doesn’t meet some vague regulation or you failed to get a punative license, meant merely to keep competition out of their business. It can fine you millions for failing to file the correct paperwork, but the constitutional rights of nutjobs extends absolutely unto infinity. They are even free to freeze to death, so that their families, nowhere to be seen for years, can sue the city for millions, after they do.
Thus, the cancer known as Liberalism slowly and inexorably eats its way through the previously stout Republic.
Thank you, Geraldo, as I’m sure all those who’ve died at your hands would say.
Perhaps he’s planning to cop an insanity plea. It worked for John Hinckley.
Hope someone shanks him… or that what he wants?
Why would he feel remorse? Crazy or not, he planned it and did it.
The general population doesn’t understand the mind of people like this. He’s not showing any remorse because he pulled off his murder spree swimmingly. The only thing he would show remorse for is not killing or terrorizing enough people. He killed a lot of people. In his mind, he did a great job and has nothing to feel sorry about.
Psychology 101 calls this behavior “transference.” The self-hatred he would feel for himself for ruining his own life as well as hunreds of other lives, and the self-hatred that directed him to do this to others and not himself, is now directing his hatred, again, to those around him. Protective solitary for the rest of his young life is no fun I would bet. No jury will believe the guy does not know right from wrong when he acted so self-protectively. He certainly knew it was wrong to expose himself to possible injury. Well if a judge declares he doesn’t know right from wrong and is insane, the judge is just as nuts as Holmes is. But they both know right from wrong, and what Holmes did is wrong. Hitler was nuts but it was right to kill him. Same with Holmes. And Manson. And Dahmer and Son of Sam and . . . But does Colorado have the death penalty? Well, http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/state_by_state says CO reenacted the death penalty in 1976. Since that time they’ve executed one person in 1997 and have on death row. And they do permit a sentence of lifetime without parole. Either would be fine with me, but vengeance is not one of my goals — discouraging copy cats or repetitious behaviour by others is.
Crazy?
CRAZY?
Is there even any question that this guy lost every marble he ever had?
Even his Mother knew he had lost it
When she was informed that he’d been in a shooting, she didn’t ask if he was ok, or if he’d been hurt. She asked what he did.
A lot of people are using this, as they do after every major firearms event, to call for stronger gun control laws. This guy didn’t actually need guns – he sabotaged his apartment with dozens of bombs (made from common, freely available materials). Had he not had the guns, he would have used bombs.
If anything, the animosity towards firearms prevented the victims from taking the shooter out. Body armor or not, a well placed .22 would have stopped his spree long enough that he could have been restrained – before completing his “quest”. One gun jammed, and an opportunity to take him out was lost. He had to reload, and more chances were lost. He was wandering up the aisles, but does NOT have 360° vision – and his body count mounted. The animostity towards firearms is costing Society, and the cost is in lives lost.
The key word is ACTING crazy. He wasn’t running around spitting on every person is sight during the months he planed this. I suspect he had no real intention of living through this event. The fact that he booby trapped his home indicates that his state of mind entertained no thought of retreat prior to the commission of his crimes.
Now he has found himself alive and kicking and in custody. He has (to put it baldly) shot his wad and has decided he wants to live after all. Like the coward he is, all his energies will now be solely devoted to saving his worthless hide from the retribution he has so well earned.
Here’s to a speedy and fair trail, followed by a speedy and fair hanging.
