Holder Lashes Out at Media Over Fast and Furious
Attorney General Eric Holder blames the media for Fast and Furious and mounting calls for his resignation. No, he really does. More, including the audio, at the Daily Caller.
A couple of things today about this latest loss of cool. First, it isn’t just the Daily Caller covering the story as Holder wrongly claims. Every corner of the media is covering it. This sounds like something Press Harpy Tracy Schmaler at DOJ might be telling him, that only just one or two outlets are covering the story, but it isn’t true. She has a reputation of lying to the media, so maybe she also lies to her boss. She also has a reputation of lashing out at the media, like Holder did. (Memo to Press Harpy Schmaler: You’re blowing it, Tracy. This guy is getting clobbered on your watch. And your catty tactics are just antagonizing outlets.)
Secondly, blaming the Daily Caller ignores all the great work PJ Media has done on this!
Thirdly, it seems that every day more on the Hill are calling for Holder to resign. The irony is that Holder’s resignation would do more for Obama’s reelection chances than almost anything else that could happen, apart from the worst economy in decades suddenly growing wings. Hatred for Holder is visceral across the country. He represents the worst and most base aspects of this administration. So if he goes, and a new, cleaned-up attorney general replaces him, it defuses a powerful weapon the GOP is going to use against Obama in the fall. Yes, Holder is going to be a major issue in the election campaign. Holder stepping down would undo those plans. Those calling for his resignation (and make no mistake, he is unfit for the office) need to realize that whoever replaces him will share the same ideology that led to the Black Panther dismissal and mirandizing terrorists. Meet the new boss…
If Holder resigns, we will get a shiny new radical in the office, without blemish. Of course it is a lot more fun covering and writing books like Injustice about the wounded, flailing Holder, but he’s a disaster for the country.
Holder et al. aren’t calling out PJM because they are probably trying to get back at you in “other ways.” Beware!

If Governor Brownback of Kansas has operatives combing the internet for disparaging remarks about him and is willing to attack a high school girl over a silly tweet to her friends, do you really think the Obama machine isnt at least compiling lists? I am confident that every conservative blogger and commenter who is decrying Obama and company is on a list. PJM writers and commenters are probably at the top of the list as they seem to be the sharpest of the lot. I dont include myself in that, I just hang around here hoping it will sharpen me. I am not paranoid because being on such a list would not change a thing for me, in fact it would be a badge of honor.

Holder is essential to this criminal regime. If they fired him, even the Progressive Republicans in the Senate might find the backbone necessary to prevent a recess appointment and to prevent Senate consent on an equally corrupt replacement.
How does the Senate prevent a “recess appointment”? Especially a Senate that is controlled by the Democrats? The President can make a recess appointment without any Senate involvement.
Holder won’t resign. He’s been a devoted leftist/anti-gun ideologue going back to when he was Janet Reno’s point man for the Assault Weapon Ban in the Clinton administration. Then, he said that they were going to use the AWB to “capture a whole new category of guns”- namely, lever-action reproductions of Winchesters and Henrys of the 1800s. In his mind, a manual repeater with a fixed tube magazine could be defined as a semi-automatic weapon with a detachable magazine.
The Supreme Court had to slap him down, and he still didn’t get the message. Anyone that dogmatic and out of touch with reality will not leave voluntarily, or even particularly peacefully.
On the other hand, considering the liability that Holder has become, I’m surprised that Obama hasn’t “thrown him under the bus” by now. I suspect it may be due to the fact that once he’s out as AG, and no longer has the excuse of “continuing investigations” and “confidential information” to hide behind, Holder might be subpoenaed, deposed under oath, and tell Issa & Co. things Obama would rather not become known, simply to avoid a long stretch in the Iron Bar Hotel.
I don’t think Obama trusts Holder to “fall on his sword” on his behalf.

Holder ONLY does what Obama tells him to do.
Last May Republicans forced Senate pro forma sessions that were used to prevent recess appointments. Not being fully steeped in Senate rule arcana and given Obama’s propensity for ignoring laws, I can’t guarantee that it would work again.
If President Obama is actually involved in some way with Fast and Furious, and Holder is the complete scum that I think that he is, I don’t think Holder would just resign and take one for the team. I sincerely hope that President Obama did not have any direct knowledge of the gunwalking that was going on, but if he did, and people find out about it, there will be hell to pay (even if the MSM continues to largely ignore this story).

An irony here about the Obama administration sealing court records of Agent Terry’s murder is that the unsealing of court records in 2004 related to the divorces of 1)Obama’s main primary opponent and 2) the leading Republican opponent in Obama’s 2004 run for the US Senate.

If Newt Gingrich, with his rock throwing ability, becomes the Republican candidate, he will laser focus national attention on the flaws in government. Expect F&F to become daily grist in the Presidential campaign, and inevitably in the media. When that occurs, Eric Holder will look either incompetent, or crooked; there are no other possibilities. Plausible denial vanished months ago.
The debate in the WH is how to contend with this situation. With luck, he will get a tenured position in academia. I see no viable options for the President.

Institutionalized reverse racism (let’s not quibble about the term, you know what I mean) which dispenses a leg up based on skin color results in the wrong people in the wrong place for the wrong reasons; in effect, a dumbing down process.
