TWEET OF THE DAY, NEW HAMPSHIRE IS NOW IN PLAY EDITION: “This should send up warning signs for the Trump campaign.”

Celebrity alone won’t win primaries without a solid ground game, as Rudy Giuliani and the late Fred Thompson discovered the hard way in 2008. Or as I wrote a few years ago, “Rudy did the impossible in the 1990s — make New York livable again after the Dinkins years, capped off by a brilliant job on 9/11 and its immediate aftermath. But as with Fred Thompson (another fine man as well), their belief that they were above the GOP primary system killed their chances in 2008, unlike McCain (John, not Stacy) who at least showed up to play.”
