CNN’S SHOCK QUESTION TO OBAMA: If you somehow win reelection, how would you assure whites you’d be their president also?

Nahh, just kidding — Time-Warner-CNN-HBO is far too in the tank to have the balls to ask Obama that,  but they’re thrilled to ask a truly loaded similar question to Romney, as Noel Sheppard notes at Newsbusters:

JIM ACOSTA, CNN: African-Americans have a tremendous sense of pride that there is the first African-American president in the White House. If you were to somehow beat the first African-American president, what would you say to the black community to assure them that you would be their president also?

The first thing that should grab your eye is the word “somehow.”

Somehow?

The economy stinks, the right-track/wrong-track numbers are upside-down, and the polls show a very tight race.

As such, how does Acosta think Romney winning is a long shot?

As Noel goes on to note, “Romney answered the question with aplomb,” but this is one time where you’d wish the even-tempered Romney would reject the premise of the question and throw it back at the “reporter,” Gingrich-style.
