Insane Clown Posse
Ahh, the quotable Harry Reid:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) had an interesting response to a Roll Call reporter during a media availability on the Hill today.
“On the DREAM Act, Mitch McConnell just said that he’s waiting for Mitt Romney to say what his position is on the DREAM kids before he wants to comment,” the reporter asked. “I’m wondering if you have any thoughts on him waiting for Mitt Romney and also if you have any intention of bringing the DREAM Act to the floor for votes in the next couple of months to put people on record.”
“I don’t want to answer that question,” Reid responded. “That’s a clown question, bro.”
Huh, I didn’t think the Dingy One was much of a Charles Krauthammer fan.
But on a more serious note, as the above video reminds us, Reid’s response certainly cuts both ways.
Update: Speaking of questionable senatorial clowns, “Senator McCaskill claims Senate Dems passed budget in August, when they didn’t [VIDEO].”

That’s a Bryce Harper reference, if he actually said it…though I suppose it’s possible. Reid’s a Mormon isn’t he? So is Harper, the Washington Nationals’ highly touted rookie outfielder, and when he was asked if he’d go drinking to celebrate his heroics in a game played in Canada, where he’d be able to drink legally (he’s only 19), and he responded with that exact same quote: “That’s a clown question, bro.”
I just looked it up, and yes, he said it. It appears Reid’s a big fan (which would make sense, since Nevada doesn’t have MLB and the Nats are the home team in DC. Harper, for those uninitiated, is a clean cut kid who playes old school baseball and is very likeable. He started the season in the minors, and when he was called up, on his first off day at home he went down to the Mall because he’d never been to our Nation’s Capitol before. He wound up taking some cuts in a softball game, charmed the pants off of everyone, etc. When he played here against the Dodgers (his first series when he was called up) everyone was impressed with his skills (the kid runs like the wind and hits like he’s a lot more experienced than he actually is) and his personality.
So apparently Harry’s hoping some of the charisma rubs off…not that that’s likely, any time soon…
