I can’t see a wimp like Ted Rall hefting an AK-47. He might make squeaky little noises about armed revolution but this guy is just a bratty little kid sitting in his sandbox.
I’m so frightened at the thought of an army of angry, simpering libs that I can barely squeak out the words: “Bring it”.
Whenever the Left gets their noses out of joint because America rejects their wonderful, superior policies, they always start whining about stats like “1% of the population makes 24% of the income” and such (BTW, that 1% likely votes DEMOCRATIC such as George Soros, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Most of Hollywood… well, you get the picture.) They never explain why it is we should care. After all, none of us are starving, most of us still have a place to live in spite of everything. Now, if you want to see a country where things really SUCK for a lot of people, check out Venezuela, Cuba or North Korea. But, at least 1% of the population doesn’t get 24% of the income in those example; most of the income goes to folks named Kim, Hugo and Fidel.
I wonder if these effete clowns have any idea what happens in a real revolution, i.e., the number of lives lost? The last true violent revolution we had was the Civil War. What was it, 500,000 dead? out of a populace of 40,000,000? You want something like that over a hissy fit because the American people didn’t vote the way you demanded? Marxist clowns.

Flicker, I’ll ignore your ad hominem non-argument and just provide you with some facts so you can make up your own mind. In the 2010 federal budget, 18% went to DOD, the ENTIRE DOD, and some small fraction of that went to pay for actual war expenses. The bulk of that pays for all the branches of the military, salaries, benefits, maintenance of housing and facilities, DOD schools for families deployed overseas, equipment, etc etc etc. By contrast the other huge budget items include, Social security (20%), welfare/unemployment (16%), medicare (13%), and medicaid (8%). In short, 57% of the federal budget went to support people who, for whatever reason, are sitting around doing nothing and not contributing. And please feel free to go the OMB website and confirm these numbers yourself. War may not be a growth industry ( and that’s debatable, ethics aside), but spending almost 60% of a federal budget to subsidize doing nothing doesn’t seem particularly intelligent either. We’re just transferring money from people who are being productive to people who aren’t at a really really unbalanced rate. How long do you suppose that’s sustainable?

Post 9/11, Ted got himself sent over to Afghanistan to cover the war for Los Angeles’ KFI radio (yes, Rall was once a paid employee of that evil Clear Channel communications), but would lose his job as he kept filing loopier and loopier reports.
But the fact that Rall is obsessed with places like that indicates he’s also got a warped fascination with armed conflict. It’s just that he usually is pulling for the people shooting at the U.S. soldiers, at least as long as there’s a Republican in the White House. So my guess is Ted actually does know how to shoot a gun and may even own a few, but he’s not going to be the one to fire the first shot — he wants to simply use his pen and inspire someone else to fire the first shot with his really ugly cartooning.

I’m just sad to see talent-less whore Ted Rall get the attention he knew he would get from this.
