I’d Buy That For A Dollar

November 2, 2009 - 10:05 pm - by Ed Driscoll

Detroit is still waiting for Robocop to solve its rampant crime problems, but there’s plenty of robotic action in New Jersey in the run-up to Tuesday’s election:

The Democratic State Committee now admits paying for a robocall to Somerset County voters that slams Republican Chris Christie and promotes independent gubernatorial candidate Christopher Daggett.

As Orrin Judd quips, “It’s That Post-Partisan Politics The [Unicorn Rider] Promised.”

“End the RoboCalls” on Twitter claims, “Political Robocalls are illegal in NJ. law not enforced.”

Of course in “Louisiana North”, as the Wall Street Journal’s John Fund dubbed New Jersey a few years ago, “law” and “enforcement” are rather flexible, loosely-defined terms.
