What Difference Does It Make?

When, a year ago, then-incompetent-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton implied to a Senate committee that it made no difference how or why Americans were murdered at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi Libya in September 2012, she gave the impression that she was trying to cover up for her previous dishonesty in blaming the attack on some obscure video that insulted the beliefs of scabrous, wild-eyed, fanatical murderers. The woman who had lost her promised shot at the presidency to a dishonest neophyte Chicago radical had disgraced herself and betrayed our founding values by promising the father of a heroic SEAL killed in the attack that she would bring justice, not to those who had done the killing, but to the schmuck who’d made the obscure video ridiculing the small-minded, bigoted followers of an ideology currently responsible for a majority of the armed conflicts on earth.

Now — in what may be an effort to protect the presidential hopes of the woman who once tried to cover up her husband’s infidelities by lying about a vast conspiracy of her political opponents — the New York Times, a former newspaper, is reporting that yes, indeed, the well-planned September 11, 2012 al-Qaeda attack on the American consulate was not a well-planned al-Qaeda attack but was inspired by an obscure video that no one saw but which insulted those who believe in a vicious and despicable god and kill their fellow man in his name. The maker of the video was sent to prison under pressure from the White House. The killers of the Americans remain unpunished.

But my question to the New York Times is this: What difference does it make?

Either the incompetent Mrs. Clinton engaged in a shameful cover-up of the truth or she shamefully sold out our values for the values of murderous scum. If the attack was committed by terrorists and she knew it, she’s a liar. If the murderers killed because someone insulted their filthy and violent creed with a video, she’s a collaborator with evil. Disgusting in either case.

But thanks for playing, New York Times. Please try again.

Every time I see Hilary Clinton give that brain dead reply I cringe. Then I get angry.

And to think, people want HER to be the next President?

Glen Doherty and others managed to commandeer a plane in Tripoli, come up with $30,000 to pay the pilots, fly 400 miles to Benghazi, and join the battle. Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty, and others fought with a militia for hours and managed to kill almost 100 of the forces attacking us before dying from a mortar round. Meanwhile Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama seemed to be focused on managing the political implications of this attack instead of rescuing the survivors. Considering all the effort they have expended in preventing the survivors from talking, I believe that it would have been more politically expedient for there to be no survivors. Heroes like Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods prevented the no survivors outcome despite receiving zero help during a 7 hour long battle. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are demonstrably worse than useless when the sh*t hits the fan. They just get in the way of the men like Doherty and Woods who can get things done.

How much money have the Clinton's gotten from Middle Eastern sources over the years?

Or in other words, if the Soros Junta, excuse me, the Obama Administration were acting as an agent of a hostile Middle Eastern power, what would it have done differently over the last five years?

"Either the incompetent Mrs. Clinton engaged in a shameful cover-up of the truth or she shamefully sold out our values for the values of murderous scum."

In this case, it's the latter. The scum, of course, are those who want power at any cost... including the Presidency.

Maybe she's set a new legal precedent, the WDDIM (What difference does it make, or What does it matter for short, or colloquially, the Widow Maker) defense for murder.

Seeking a little fairness:
The shriek "What difference does it make?" was about whether the incident was a spontaneous riot, as she knew it was not, or a planned attack, as she knew it was. In either case, her incompetence was directly responsible.
Mr. Klavan states this as an "or" but I personally think Clinton both lied and sold out our values.

I have only one quibble with this assessment: Hillary Clinton is no longer Secretary of State -- that's inarguable -- but she's *still* incompetent.

I agree with Grup. You have many wonderful, quotable lines in this column. Well well-written.
I have only one question: did Secretary Clinton ever switch to saying it was a terrorist attack, and not a result of the videotape? If she switched, then her switch condemns the New York Times. If she never wavered from claiming the videotape caused the attack, then that needs to be magnified. I assume she switched along with every other human on the planet except those at the New York Times. I am shocked if she did not.
There is another facet which needs to be mentioned: there is a movie about a New York Times reporter who was caught making things up in his stories. This reporter must also be suspected, given the New York Times historically permits reporters to make up things in their stories.

There's really no heed to explain.

Hillary Clinton, carpetbagger in New York, card- carryinhg feminist riding the coat-tails of a spouse, and deal maker who seconded Nancy Pelosi's nomination of BH Obama - an unknown of uncertain provenance, uncertain identity and uncertain competence in anything but grabbing the main chance, as DNC candidate for the "Office of President" says it all.

Just what deal was made? Hillary Clinton with too much baggage in 2008 to become the candidate was given a breather to garner more sujpport and power among the freemasonry of government and acolytes as prsumptive heir to Obama

The way things are being played out in the Media and among politicians of all colours H Clinton is a sure thing to "wear the crown". And it's only 2014.

Might be a good idea to review the reactions of H. Clinton and N. Pelosi to the loss of the millenium election. And take it from there. Millenium in the Western calendar a game-changing date.

N. Pelosi with her reported - how did that get past the filters of the Media - VOW of revenge against those Americans who voted for the Republican candidate. And H. Clinton who descirbed those Americans with their independent, no tanks and guns or black panthers to force their votes more's the pity, selection of the Republican candidate as "That VAST Right-Wing CONSPIRACY".

Subsequent behaviours of these two women with their cohorts in Congress and Judiciary in attempting for the next eight years a Watergate for the elected President, anathema to them.

And in one of her first appearances as Obama's Secretary of State, thus representative of the United States to foreign nations, H.Cllinton in a speech in Africa is reported to have told the audientce that the 2000 election in the USA had been stolen from the "Democratic" Party. How's that for a diplomatic posture?

To coninue, N.Pelosi'e desperation to get PPACA enacted in haste with that infamous "We HAVE TO PASS IT. To Know what's in it".

How's that for responsible law-making. But then there was always that special privilege for Congressmen to EXEMPT themselves and their pets from provisions in that law. How's that for "government of by and for the People"?

Hell, fury and scorned? Immunity to laws.

Every time I hear the phrase "what difference does it make," I feel like vomiting. Of course it makes a difference. It sure makes a difference to the families of the victims who have lost loved ones. It makes a difference to the dead Ambassador's family who have to live with the fact that their loved one was dragged into the street alive and gang raped before being murdered. The Secretary of State COULD have done something, but chose to cover her ample a$$ instead. Her inaction is both pathetic and disgusting. It goes well beyond incompetence. She is irredeemably EVIL.

Why it doesn't matter to the people who will blindly vote for this sub human is beyond me.

The real mystery to me is how a woman with the worst hair in media gets any popular support. She always looks like an unmade bed. Phyllis Diller looks elegant by comparison.
