Head Of Secret Service Promises Senate Her Agents Aren't All Drunk

Tough gig.

The latest embarrassing episode involving a drunken Secret Service agent overseas for a presidential trip was an isolated incident, Secret Service Director Julia Pierson said Tuesday.

Pierson and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson met with senators from the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee to talk about the incident involving an agent found drunk in a hotel in the Netherlands last month.

This doesn’t have the full blown scandal vibe that her predecessor had to deal with and I certainly don’t begrudge anybody for getting hammered in the Netherlands but it is more comforting when we aren’t aware of the Secret Service.

OK, I would like to not be aware of the current president too.
