Kislyak Says He's Not a Spy, and That CNN Should Be 'Ashamed'

Sergey Kislyak rejected a question about whether he is a Russian “spy master,” and told CNN that they, “should be ashamed.” In his broken English, he said, “CNN is the company that keeps on pointing to this allegation. It’s nonsense.” While he was the Russian ambassador to the United States, Kislyak met with several Trump officials and surrogates, and those meetings are now part of Robert Mueller’s investigation. It should be noted that he also met with several officials from previous administrations, including Obama’s. But, in light of Trump’s quasi-inappropriate relationship with the Russians during the 2016 election, these sessions with Kislyak do seem to be relevant.
