11-Year-Old's Response to Nude Teacher Sex Proposition: 'OK IDC'

When a 21-year-old karate teacher in Orlando, Fla., sent an 11-year-old boy in her class nude photos and said, “I want to have sex with you,” he responded casually, writing, “OK IDC” (shorthand for “Okay, I don’t care”).

While the boy seemingly accepted the solicitation, there is no report of the act having taken place. The teacher, Stephannie Figueroa, faces charges of attempted lewd or lascivious conduct, solicitation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, showing a minor obscene material and child abuse, according to the Orlando Police Department.

The boy’s mother discovered the messages between him and Figueroa by opening the Kik social messaging app on his phone last week, according to a police report cited by the Orlando Sentinel. This good mother called the police right away, after confronting her son. While the boy told police Figueroa sent him nude photos, as well as photos of her “private parts,” the photos had been deleted. Figueroa turned 21 on Sunday, and invited the boy to her 21st birthday party, when nobody else would be home. The boy told police that she began making advances on him in February and kept telling him she liked him.

Investigators say she sent him 15 nude or racy photos. A man who identified himself as the owner of the karate school said he did not find any evidence that Figueroa tried to molest the boy at the school from security cameras. The karate teacher is being held on no bond in the Orange County jail, and investigators believe there could be other victims.

Next Page: The story went viral on social media, not because of the disgusting advances, but because of the boy’s response. The boy’s nonchalant response made a splash on social media, sending “OK IDC” trending on Twitter. While it is disturbing that the boy seemingly accepted the sexual advances, his attitude of disinterest struck people as surprising.

Some were not amused, however.

Figueroa appears in multiple karate YouTube videos, including the one below, which provides tips on the “wrist roll toss,” a method of spinning a sword in midair.
