Trumka: Under the Obama Bus, Too?

Obama had no more reliable supporter than Richard Trumka, head of the AFL-CIO. Even as the president openly plotted to destroy Trumka’s old union , the UMWA, by closing down the underground coal industry. Yesterday Trumka, finally expressed his outrage at the President’s Job Council.

This statement must have been issued before the President turned thumbs down on the Keystone pipeline, which would have provided an estimated 20,000 new construction jobs and more reasonably priced energy which certainly impacts the AFL-CIO even more than the Jobs Council recommendations about which he complained.
