How the Heck Is a Jury Deadlocked on a Mom Who Strangled Her 3 Kids?

The fact that the jury in the Lindsay Clancy case is actually deadlocked to the point of being unable to come to a decision after days of deliberation is profoundly disturbing and shows us that there is something very wrong with the moral compass of our country.

True, there have always been Democrats willing to justify murders on the basis of race or politics, but it used to be that the average American — even those who foolishly voted for pro-violence politicians — would’ve had a major problem with a woman strangling her three children to death. In fact, Lindsay Clancy certainly would have gotten the death penalty in a saner era. But apparently, the abortion death cult has so brainwashed many Americans that there are countless people actively cheering on the maternal murderess, and a jury incapable of stating the obvious: Lindsay deliberately killed her own babies in a lengthy and excruciating fashion.

You can listen to a psychological expert below explaining that he certainly believes Lindsay was culpable for what she did. The amount of premeditation she put into it, the fact that she was able to convince her husband that she was normal enough that he was willing to leave her to watch the kids while he went out to run errands, shows that she had a level of self-control incompatible with the thesis that she was so crazy that no one can hold her responsible for what she did. Also, to strangle a toddler with exercise bands — as she did — takes between six and eight minutes. Think for how long Lindsay had to work at strangling each child to death. The evidence indicates that she had to chase the two older ones down before killing them, because they could see what she was doing and were terrified.

Cora was five years old, Dawson was three, and Callan was not even a year. Their dad came home to find Lindsay had jumped out a window and left the bodies of their children in the basement. “Oh my God, oh my God,” he screamed in agony to responding officers, “she killed the kids!” And yet, thousands of women have shown up in person or taken to social media to support Lindsay and demonize her husband. Now the jury can’t make the obvious decision. America not only lost its mind, but it also lost its soul.

And as Spencer Pratt has pointed out, there is also the obligation to protect society. Patrick Clancy, the father, is still alive, and who knows if Lindsay would try to go after him if given the opportunity? In any case, she is obviously so deranged and filled with hate that she is dangerous both to herself and to other people. Whether she is calculatingly evil or just insane, the results in terms of her actions are the same. America has spent too many years falling for the lies that every mental illness is treatable, that every grave sin is just some sort of correctable mental imbalance, and that a crazy person is always such an object of compassion that he or she cannot be locked up permanently. Think how many insane people have been free to commit murders because of this false compassion. Think how many victims’ families never saw justice because of it.

Leftists always want to fixate on the criminals, the killers, and the victimizers, rather than on the victims. The women cheering excitedly for Lindsay Clancy have absolutely zero compassion for the children who died unspeakable deaths at the hands of their own mother, or for the father who went out to run errands and came home to find his entire life destroyed. The jury clearly is not focusing on the child victims, or it would have already come out with a decision.

The Bible emphasizes the justice of the death penalty, particularly for murder (e.g., Deuteronomy 19:21, Acts 5:1-11, Exodus 21:12, Leviticus 24:17). Justice demands that a person who commits a serious crime pay the penalty. The bare minimum of justice in this case would be life in prison for Lindsay, and in fact, that is also the only safe option outside execution. How have we reached a point in America where a jury is endlessly deadlocked in the case of a mother who deliberately choked the life out of her three little children?
