When she was campaigning for president, Hillary Clinton used problems in the Veterans Administration as one of her patriotism issues. She said, as you’ll see in the following video, that our “highest obligation” as a nation is to take care of our veterans.
The current VA scandal is now weeks old. This week has seen hearings, calls for VA chief Eric Shinseki to resign or be fired — by Democrats — and an IG report that paints the agency as a close-run thing to a criminal enterprise, defrauding the American taxpayers while neglecting our veterans.
Yet Hillary Clinton has remained utterly silent about the whole thing.
Why?
She is someone who could step out, address the issue and probably get some results for our veterans. That would fulfill what she says is our “highest obligation.”
So why isn’t she?
