Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) led the congressional delegation to Selma this weekend with Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), a pilgrimage which carried deep meaning for the first African-American senator elected from the south since Reconstruction but brought out the ugly in a fair number of his foes.
