Thanks to Biden, We’re Giving Aid to Hamas

After the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel, Joe Biden publicly sided with Israel but has been helping both sides. His administration reportedly knew about the planned attack in advance but did nothing to stop it. It also denied Iran's involvement in the attack because it had just unfrozen $6 billion in Iranian assets a month earlier.

In almost every way, Biden has been hampering Israel's efforts, forcing delays and discouraging planned attacks or retaliation. As for the hostages, what was once a high priority seems to have been forgotten — especially after Biden got the relative of a donor released. And, when it comes to aid, it's not only Israel that has been getting help from the U.S., but it's Gaza as well. That has been from the beginning.

In October of last year, he sent $100 million in financial aid meant for humanitarian purposes to Gaza and the West Bank, which many predicted was just going to end up in the hands of Hamas. Biden claimed that he wouldn't tolerate such a thing.

“Let me be clear, if Hamas diverts or steals the assistance, they will have demonstrated once again that they have no concern for the welfare of the Palestinian people,” Biden said at the time. “And it will end.”

Well, now the Biden administration is admitting that Hamas has stolen aid money.

According to a report from the Times of Israel, the State Department admitted on Thursday that Hamas was able to seize aid that was coming from Jordan to Gaza. According to spokesperson Matthew Miller, the aid shipment was unloaded by the Jordanian military inside Gaza, and then it was “picked up by a humanitarian implementer for distribution inside Gaza, and that aid was intercepted and diverted by Hamas on the ground in Gaza.”

“The UN is either in the process or has by now recovered that aid, but it was an unacceptable act by Hamas to divert this aid to begin with,” he claimed during a press briefing.

This may be the first time the Biden administration has acknowledged such a diversion of aid, but we know that Hamas has been intercepting financial and humanitarian aid that was sent to Gaza from the beginning.

"There’s been tons of aid that has gone into Gaza that the U.S. has helped to fund, and it’s being stolen by Hamas," Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.) admitted back in December. "It is not being given to the civilians, the elderly, the pregnant women who are in Gaza, who I certainly pray for every single day. Human life matters. We know that. We don’t want to see war in the Middle East. Hamas needs to surrender, Israel needs to secure its borders, and we need to stand up for our democratic ally. That is not Hamas.”

Yet the Biden administration continues to send aid, knowing what we've been saying from the beginning.

According to Israel, Hamas has been stockpiling supplies, rather than delivering them to civilians in need, but the United States has denied this.

"In February, the US diplomat who was then involved in humanitarian assistance for Gaza denied allegations that Hamas stole aid and commercial shipments into the enclave, saying that no Israeli official had presented him or the Biden administration with 'specific evidence of diversion or theft of assistance,'" reports the Times of Israel. "At the same time, he acknowledged that Hamas had used other aid delivery channels to 'shape where and to whom assistance goes.'"

Does anyone believe that Biden cares that Hamas has been stealing aid? For all we know, he was counting on it. It wouldn't surprise me, anyway. Have you noticed that in recent months, even though Hamas has been stealing aid, he's been taking a tougher stance against Israel, not Hamas?

Yet the aid has continued for months with the Biden administration turning a blind eye to it. Why? For the same reason that Biden panders to the antisemitic wing of his party in the United States: he has to be tough on Israel, not the Palestinians trying to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
