“Welcome to the New Anarchy”

September 29th, 2013 - 8:34 am

Donlyn Turnbull:

Immediately after Texas Senator Ted Cruz finished his 21-hour mother of all speeches, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid killed the euphoria by responding with some blunt words for the freshman Senator as well as the Tea Party. “I do believe that what we have here with the so-called Tea Party is a new effort to strike government however they can, to hurt government,” Reid said. “Any day that government is hurt is a good day for them. It’s, as I said before, the new anarchy.”

Reid has a point, although he doesn’t realize it and it’s wrapped up in a lie. Of course, Reid was speaking, so that last part is a given.

Typically when we think of anarchy, we think of the absence of laws, or the inability of the government to maintain law & order. But there’s another kind of anarchy, and that other kind is the inevitable result of the government getting into everything, issuing mandates, spending money it doesn’t have, picking winners and losers, transferring wealth. It’s the anarchy of pressure-group warfare-by-law, where each increasingly atomized pressure group seeks to use the law to gain advantage, or to disadvantage other pressure groups.

It’s thuggery-by-legal fiat, and it’s a worse form of anarchy than simple lawlessness, because it destroys public trust in public institutions. The IRS scandal is a recent example. So is Democrat intransigence on spending.

For a more detailed account of how it works, I’ll refer you to the Modern Progressive Instruction Manual — sometimes also known as Atlas Shrugged.

Reid's notion of anarchy is rubber soles on the jackboots.

Rand gave good villain and Reid could play one.

"...it’s a worse form of anarchy than simple lawlessness, because it destroys public trust in public institutions."

Trust in public institutions to do what?

Can't wait for the ACA non reportable income to start being generated. It will be greasing palms for doctor visits, coveted treatments and tests that may otherwise be delayed or not "approved". The word "exchange", used with noticeable frequently in the wording of the ACA document, will probably become an axiom in the veiled workings of Obamacare "funding sources". The "underground" medical care provided to those who are neglected or deliberately maligned in the ACA program will develop out of need and/or greed. Out of genuine need because so-called "legitimate" health care (aka gov approved) may put many lives at risk secondary to dangerous delays or deliberate withholding of medical care and out of greed because many wanna be caretakers may try to carpet bag the system. I don't know for sure, but the realities of known cronyism and corruption trending in governing bodies now lends itself to the conjecture of monumental suffering for the People should ACA become a reality.

Reid is clearly insane. Recall his speech when he repeats over an over "Oil makes you sick. Hydrocarbons make you sick". A clinical mental patient. He used to be a boxer and it seems taking all these punches to the head have caught up with his brain. Like any other part of the body that takes repeated physical trauma, the knocked around brain deteriorates much faster with advancing age.
