House: Passed a year-long, paid-for, payroll tax holiday.
Senate: Choked on anything longer than two months.
President Obama ought to run against that do-nothing Senate.
UPDATE: Experts say the two-month extension isn’t logistically doable.
Now, I bet it will go to committee, where we shall see if Boehner can get the Senate to do a better deal. Pelosi says she won’t send anyone to represent the House Dems in conference. Really? You promise?
Mea culpa time. I thought this was ill-advised by the Repubs. Now, finding that it seems unworkable, I agree it is correct to get it cleaned up a bit.
