As if Hillary Clinton needed any help appearing more maniacal, the Trump campaign obliged Tuesday, giving us an ad featuring her disturbing laughter over footage of the burning U.S. embassy in Benghazi. It might be funny if the subject matter weren’t so serious.
Posted to Instagram on Donald Trump’s official account, the video reminds viewers that Clinton lied during her tenure as secretary of state about the motivations behind the September 11, 2012 terror attack. A clip of Clinton blaming the violence on a YouTube video is juxtaposed with quotes from various family members of Americans who died in Benghazi calling her a liar. The ad crescendos with a clip of Clinton laughing hysterically cross-faded over footage of the U.S. embassy under attack.
