Barack Obama and Howard Dean are far from ordinary people, or ordinary Democrats. One was the chairman of the Democratic Party and, before that,  governor of Vermont. The other is currently the president of the United States. Hopefully, you already knew that.

But you may not have seen what both have said about Republicans recently. It’s crazy.

PowerLine has a video of a Howard Dean speech from last week. In the speech, Dean rants that the Republicans have “sold out” the country, and then rails against voter ID laws (which about 70% of Americans support). Dean says of Republicans, “They are not American!” He says Republicans are “more comfortable in the Ukraine, or Russia and should stay away from our country!”

The crowd cheers him on, enthusiastically. Dean is poking and prodding and screeching to get their bloodlust up.

On Monday of this week, President Obama picks up where Dean left off. According to White House Dossier, the president was speaking at a fundraiser for congressional Democrats. He criticized Republicans in Congress for not doing everything he wants them to do. Here is what he said.

I hate to be blunt about it, but that’s the play.  And, by the way, when I say a party has been captured, it’s because I actually want an effective, serious, patriotic, capable, sober-minded Republican Party.  And we’ve had that in the past.

Dean: Republicans have sold the country and aren’t Americans. Obama: Republicans aren’t patriotic.

Obama’s and Dean’s messages are too consistent with each other to be considered slips of the tongue or cases of either man just getting carried away. They are talking from the same set of ideas, for the same purpose.

The comments come from two consequential figures who should not be ignored.

While their consistent message betrays desperation, as the Democrats are set to lose the Senate this fall, it also betrays vindictiveness.

This is a kind of othering that precedes pogroms. Dehumanize. Separate. Villify. And then…what?

A few days ago, I saw Dr. Ben Carson being interviewed, and he was talking about how we could get the country back on track. He mentioned that we need to get a discussion of issues. When asked how that would help, he said it would humanize whomever you are talking to if they are really listening to each other. And he said that the Democrats have been taught to never discuss anything. They simply demonize anyone who doesn't share their opinions. That's what they are doing and have been doing. Why do we tolerate this?

I'm not concerned by Obama's or Dean's comments. I'm concerned by the enthusiastically cheering crowds.

Of course I believe they said it.

If you don't believe that these people, in their heart-of-hearts, want you dead, you're missing the boat.

Gee, what's so exciting about this story? Leftists trying to 'other' their opposition? The problem with all this is the Republicans seem to exist to stand athwart the Demo's plans but then, when asked, they just say "NO".

Budget? All government payments to individuals get 1099-GOV and a requirement to report 'income, redistributed' llike the wage slaves supporting them.

Foreign Policy? If a county can't support the First Amendment, those people get NO visas, NO aid, NO IMF investment. We'll buy your Nikes though.

Government Competence? Really? To start, all government bank and credit card statements are public. THAT will change bunches!

Whining about the verbiage of the opposition? Profitless.

Democrats were slaveholders. Republicans freed the slaves.
Democrats founded and populated the KKK. Republicans opposed and stopped them.
Democrats blocked school entrances to keep out black students. Republicans sent troops to open them.
Democrats overwhelmingly opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Republicans overwhelmingly supported it.
Senator Robert Byrd and George Wallace were Democrats. Martin Luther King was a Republican.

This is nothing new. Standard Lenin/Alinsky tactics. These 2 are communicating the orders to their leftist foot soldiers. Demonize, demonize, demonize. Conservatives need to respond by forcefully demonizing every leftist policy failure in terms that hit home with the low information voters. Make sure they are reminded that Obama is spying on them at all times because he hates their privacy.

"What next"? Well then we'll get a Presidential speech and another push for gun control, when some leftist Nut Job takes a shot at some Republican candidate. Of course the media will hide the fact that he/she is a leftist.

I went to secondary school with Howard in the 1960's in RI. I liked him as a 16 year old. Unfortunately, he's regressed.

What's to stop them? Easy. The Second Amendment.

Again...scratch a leftist, find a totalitarian. Always. And if you don't think these guys would embrace the Gulag for Republicans and conservatives, you have not been paying attention.

Patriotism doesn't mean that you obey Dear Leader without thinking or asking questions. Democrats understood that when Bush was in the White House. Now, not so much.

This ties in with what Harry "The Weasel" Reid is saying about the Koch brothers. The democrats are demonizing conservatives and Republicans. They are basically behaving in the same way that other totalitarians have attacked others - the rich during the French revolution, the Jews and the less desirables in Nazi Germany, the Capitalists (and Jews) in the Soviet Union and the blacks and poor by Margaret Sanger (founder of Planned Parenthood). We all know what happened to the victims of these verbal attacks.

I think the democrats are trying to set the stage for the same thing. To give them justification for using the IRS to attack conservatives, to use the EPA and other entities to attack conservative businesses (like the DOJ is forcing the banks to do to retailers of firearms), passing an amendment that would let Congress limit funding of campaigns and to determine what can and cannot be said (like the Weasel wants) and perhaps justify taking people into custody (as some democrat congressmen wanted the IRS to do).

This is why firearms are flying off the shelf, and why bullets are hard to come by. Our own government has decided that those who do not support the current values, ideals, and plans of the administration are enemies of the state. Unfortunately, with a few exceptions, the leadership of the GOP doesn't seem to be all that concerned. As Martin Niemoller said, "first they came for the communists and I did not speak out, for I was not a communist, then they came for ....and then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me."
