Democrat Rep. Nancy Pelosi said in a press conference today that even though the Obama administration has unilaterally delayed Obamacare’s implementation nearly 30 times, there is one delay that will not happen: the individual mandate.

A reporter asked Pelosi, who was House Speaker when Obamacare passed: “The administration announced another delay of the employer mandate on obamacare or the affordable care act. Do you think that opens up wiggle room for Democrats to vote to delay the employee mandate that the employees are now required to but, and if so, why not?”

Pelosi fired back: “No, it is a completely different thing.”

Pelosi went on from there to spin the law that 55% of Americans now say they wish had never passed. Pelosi even went as far as sound out the nation’s Founding Fathers in supporting the unpopular healthcare law.

“[T]he law is very sound policy. To go to back to our founders once again, they sacrificed it all for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This law, the affordable care act, is about a healthier life, the liberty to pursue your happiness. That is solid policy, and the mandate is central to that,” Pelosi said.

I can't remember...did she take the policy high ground and insist that her staff pursue their happiness via the employee mandate?

Apparently being evil and stupid pays off in a big way. I've made some very poor life choices.

Apparently paying the bills on time, working 2 jobs, paying of the mortgage and staying insured was Stooopidd! I could have spent my life playing bad guitar writing crappy poems and molding look alike variations of Budda and Venus Willendorf.

Why is it that any time anybody asks Nancy about Obamacare, she starts bloviating about the Founding Fathers? She sounds like Rain Man. "'Course I'm an excellent senator. It's about Founding Fathers. Definitely the Founding Fathers. Founding Fathers. Yeah, definitely the Founding Fathers. Time for Wapner..."

You are free to pursue happiness.

You just can't pursue it in a room full of other conservatives.

Pelosi has said a lot of things that have turned out to be untrue. So it doesn't matter what she claims, we're still in the dark on any further delays in the ACA.
