Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown grad best known for telling America that she can’t afford her own birth control, spent $1,740 on the filing fee to run for Congress. Now Fluke says she isn’t running for Congress. Instead, she is running for state Senate.

Democratic attorney and activist Sandra Fluke has decided against running for retiring Rep. Henry A. Waxman’s congressional seat, instead planning a bid for the state Senate.

“I am extremely moved by the outpouring of local and national support I have received since I announced that I was considering running for office. My entire career has been devoted to the public interest, whether representing victims of human trafficking or advocating for working families,” Fluke said late Tuesday night. “I am committed to continuing that fight in Sacramento, working to protect our environment, ensure our access to health care, and create the jobs that are desperately needed. While I strongly considered offering my candidacy for Congress, I feel there is a better way for me to advance the causes that are important to our community.”

The fee to run for California Senate: $952.91. Or about 106 months (almost nine years) of birth control at the $9 per month many Walmarts and pharmacies charge for the pill. But Fluke won’t have to sacrifice the pill to pay her filing fee, not as long as the Obama administration mandates that the likes of the Little Sisters of the Poor pick up the birth control tab.

Fluke filed then found out that she and another candidate, former city comptroller Wendy Gruel, would end up attracting the same set of voters. Fluke denies that she had any such political calculations in mind, and implausibly claims that she thinks she could accomplish more in the Democrat-dominated California Senate than in Congress.

Reality: A party deal was made by which Fluke gets a lower office in exchange for not getting in a couple other pols’ way.

Oh, how wrong you are!

You're applying the wrong standard to her...like that phony degree of hers, the "fix" is in for her "career" in politics....

That "performance" in front of Congress was her Job Interview....

A Display of Absolute Loyalty to the Radical Left....a willingness to parrot, publicly under bright lights, and with a straight face, intellectually dishonest absurdities they DONT REALLY BELIEVE IN, for the sake of POWER...

"See? I can BE a Nancy Pelosi...OR a Hillary Clinton...you NEED a vacant soul like ME on the team"

And in California (no doubt she will select a safe liberal enclave), she will be a shoe-in.

No one lost any birth control and no one has been stopped from access. The big Dim lie is that they did.

Dims adore liars. Here is Fluke on CSPAN talking about how her had to get hormones replacement for ovary loss. How someone raped 'might' not get treatment...both covered by all insurances. http://222.c-spanvideo.org/program/Contrace

Here she is crying that her friend who lost her ovaries could not get hormones, how a friend that was raped could not get treatment, etc, etc. All found to be lies.

Just one more straw to pile on California's back. The Democrats cannot drive it into the ground fast enough.

It's an absolutely brilliant move. The national scene is not particularly favorable to Democrats this year. The chance of her winning a Congressional seat is iffy. However, in California, at the state level, a Democrat is pretty much guaranteed to win legislative office. Especially one with as much national political backing as she obviously has.
So she can work on developing her political cred in California until things become more favorable on the national level.
It's a brilliant move. And don't kid yourself; this woman isn't just some random coed they came across to shill for obamacare. She's an operative, and she WILL have a career in DC.

Because California state politics just doesn't have enough Gender, Feminist and Sexual studies types representing the voice of that wing.

The Shag Me, I'm Covered platform should go over well in the State That Unions Busted.

I'm sick of communists and I'm sick of their taking, taking, taking. I'm sick of their slander. I'm sick of their propaganda. I'm sick of their lies and I'm sick of their fraud and I'm sick of their treason and I'm sick of their tyranny.

Stop paying. Just stop. File for extensions on your taxes, change to the maximum deductions and starve the freeloading bastards out of existence. Tell them that when they announce they are "going to let you die", you resist.

Stop buying products that back them.

Go John Galt. I've had it.

Starve them ...as the PAYING party...let them find another sucker.

Then ask them if they want to slander us some more.

They have already started their incessant whine about it. Its called "the rich people and corporations do not pay enough taxes." Never mind that if they took 100% of the income from the top 25%, it would only pay for a few weeks of Obama overspending. Never mind if they took 100% of all income to the Fortune 500 it would only pay for 144 days of Obama overspending.

These people and their lies make me sick. The Dim Admin should only get what they create in the economy and nothing more. If they cost jobs then their taxes go down...too bad. If they create jobs and growth and taxes go up, then they get more to spend.

Cali Dem chair to Sandra: How dare you jump the (unmentionable) and file for Congress! We've got somebody else lined up to take over that seat. You can run for State Senate and we'll shoe you in. You need to learn to ask permission!

California State Senate? No, her story is that she really wants to be in the State Senate. BUt that would involve icky votes and stuff.

Give them about a month of 2, then she is going to drop out of that race and have the Democratic big wigs appoint her to one of the California alphabet boards that require almost no work but pay 100K salaries plus expenses.

Yeah. She is part of a large stable of plug and play Dem political whores. Just another young loyal Marxist apparatchik starting her nascent criminal career.
