This Devastating Ad Could Destroy the Democrats Next Year

Ending Spending has rolled out this ad against NH Sen. Jean Shaheen. Every single Democrat who voted for Obamacare and have supported it since should find it utterly terrifying.

The ad wields the PolitiFact Lie of the Year — “If you like your healthcare, you can keep your healthcare” — against Shaheen to great effect. It packs quite a bit more punch than Barack Obama’s Pajama Boy.

My only problem with the ad is that it’s coming out too early. It taps into the current mood around the country, in which more than 60% disapprove of the way Obama is handling healthcare. But by the time any votes are cast, it will be old hat. Its effect could be blunted.

Or, it could drive vulnerable senators like Mary Landrieu and Mark Pryor into deciding to spend more time with their families a little early.
