This exchange happened this afternoon on CNN. Add it to the wonderful shutdown optics the Obama administration is generating by trying to shut aging veterans out of their own monuments.

Transcript:

CNN: “If you can help one child who has cancer, why wouldn’t you do it?”

Sen. Reid: “Why would we want to do that?”

"what right do they have to pick and choose what parts of the government gets funded?"

Hmmmm, I seem to remember something on that....

Oh yeah!!!! How about Article I, Section 7, Clause 1 of a little document called the constitution which says: "All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills." (BTW, Obamacare is most probably a bill for raising revenue, at least according to Justice Roberts, and it originated in the Senate sooooo????)

And the GOP is the dumb party...

Wait, I thought Republicans wanted kids with cancer to die. Are we not doing that anymore? God, I'm SO confused!

And here is the GO TO political commercial ready made that needs to start running tomorrow all across the country in every single election for which a Republican is running against a democrat.

Mr. Speaker, show up when requested by the White House, but say nothing. Let Obama, Reid and Pelosi talk afterward while you return to the Hill.

I hate to state the obvious, but if ANY Republican ANYWHERE in the world had said this within microphone range, it would be playing on a constant loop all over the MSM. Hell, they'd break into regular programming just to crow over it.

Perfectly logical -- we are allowing close to a million a year in their mothers' wombs die, why bother about one more out of the womb? What's one more life?

"Reince" needs to buy nationwide air time to show this to all America in prime time....that would also maybe reinforce our wobbling reps spines.

Harry Reid, the Democrat leader of the Senate, refuses to consider funding cancer treatment for kids! While he fights for Obamacare, he is using some of the sickest children in our country as pawns! He is evil, despicable, and should be removed from office immediately! He doesn't care about people's health, just his and the government's power to control people!

(I would expand this post, but it would degrade into nothing but vile obscenities if I told you what I really think should happen to Reid.)

On top of Majority Leader Reid's callousness did you notice the unbridled hypocrisy of Senator Schumer when he interjected something about pitting one group against another? Utterly shameless and contemptible.

Never thought of him as a cuddly grandfather type, but it would have better served his purpose right now.

Someone's getting confused now. The standard progressive talking point is that all these crazy things must be done if it just saves one child's life. Kill coal because it may save one child's life, etc. . . .
