I wrote about this here earlier today.

The gist of the coverage from the mainstream to the fringe left was all the same: Cruz is doing it for Cruz and it is pointless (they were hitting the thesauri hard to find different ways to say the latter).

Here is what the self (and employer) proclaimed “Conservative blogger” at WaPo had to say about Milbank’s hit job:

One could dismiss this as a case of Rubin simply being a company woman but that shouldn’t be a consideration when writing about politics.

Praising Milbank is one thing, but Rubin is one of maybe two people in America who call themselves conservative who can still stand John McCain.

As I said on Twitter earlier, when the MSM says “conservative” in a story, it’s pejorative. When it refers to an employee as such, it’s a lie.

There’s very good money in being a Republican-bashing Republican for the major MSM outlets (David Gergen wakes up belching digs about Ronald Reagan because he knows it will get him on camera faster). Most of them are very adept at throwing just enough material out that isn’t objectionable that more sincere conservatives won’t roundly denounce them.

That’s gotta stop.

Jennifer Rubin and her ilk need to be roundly mocked and dismissed by all hardworking right-of-center media (old and new) types. Let’s call them the “McCain Wing” of the GOP.

And let’s run them out.

Stephen Kruiser is a professional comedian and writer who has also been a conservative political activist for over two decades. A co-founder of the first Los Angeles Tea Party, Kruiser often speaks to grassroots groups around America and has had the great honor of traveling around the world entertaining U.S. troops.

I respectfully disagree for one reason - to ignore them only allows them to continue sabotaging true conservative efforts to save our children's future(s); ignoring them will not stop them....in my humble opinion, they (McCain, McConnell, et al) must be confronted and defeated. We must defeat them by running credible conservative opponents through the primary process and replace them....or we lose our country to the sell-out's.

I wish we had about 400 more just like him in the house and senate; we need to get rid of the squishy, pussillanimous sell-out's and those who think his filibuster was self-agrandizing. Senator Ted Cruz has the honor, principles and COURAGE to fight even when he thinks he cannot win, but must stand for the people and the country. We should not have won at Midway...but we did. But, history has proven that Admiral Nimitz was just in it for Nimitz, right?

Jennifer Rubin, David Brooks, Joe Scarborough -- all these people have been vetted by liberals to appear in liberal venues. But they've been vetted to present an ***appearance*** of intellectual "diversity," not the real thing.

It's like someone buying a German Shepherd guard dog, but insisting its balls be cut off because they don't want it to be too aggressive.

AWESOME IDEA - THE MCCAIN WING.....Love it; we need to publicly identify and scorn every "republican" who votes "yes" on cloture tomorrow. Let's also not forget any republicans in the House who may have voted against the CR before it went to the Senate. It is time to name names and keep lists...let's finally cleanse our party of those who do not belong. Eventually it will lead to veto-proof majorities in both houses because we have the truth and the facts on our side. But, by God, we have to get tough and call a spade a spade, take the gloves off, it is time to stand up and be counted as we fight for our country.

Cruz himself said he didn't have the votes. So what was the point of his whole silly exercise? (Green Eggs and Ham? REally?)

His point was Cruz and nothing but Cruz.

Well, Hornet, I don't suppose you have ever stood at a lectern for twenty-one (vingt-et-un) hours while speaking. Neither have I. But one can imagine the effort required to find topics for such an activity. So, one of the things Cruz did was read a story for his small daughter. This is what slime-ball (IMO) Schumer, some other librul politicians, and their propagandists are seizing on today. You too apparently. That's all you and they have. That is called desperation.

You got their charming message and the answer to it, Baro. You can add George Washington and Audie Murphy, and a hell of a lot of others too.

I have been corrected. I was thinking in terms of seeking out their work or opinions which I do not do, but you moved it one step closer to countering sabotaging thoughts and that is a better strategy.
