Let’s count up the ways in which the Syria debate has exposed Barack Obama’s utter incompetence and lack of seriousness.

1. Failure to consult Congress. The Obama administration has built no consensus among Congress for any kind of strike. Generalissimo Pelosi wants a strike, but beyond her there is very little appetite for any U.S. action. Democrats are vocally skeptical. Republicans see a replay of Libya, just a couple of weeks before the first anniversary of the deadly attack in Benghazi. Even Dennis Kucinich is starting to make sense. There may be good reasons for striking Syria, but those reasons have not been articulated well or explained to Congress. So Congress in turn cannot explain the policy to their constituents.

2. Failure to get buy-in from the American people. Fully 80% of the American people want President Obama to obtain congressional approval before striking Syria. Only about 9% currently support a strike. But Obama’s failure to consult Congress until late in the game has probably left him too isolated to gain the  approval and build up support. Now, a vote in Congress risks a replay of what happened in the UK Thursday — a down vote. That would be seen as a victory for Assad and Putin from Damascus to Tehran and well beyond, all the way to Caracas, Havana and Pyongyang.

After firing the best and the brightest of our military leaders, cutting the military budget, reducing their pay and benefits no wonder our military in such a sorry and demoralized state. Our troops knowing that they are being led by a bunch of ass kissing synchophants, knowing that they will be left on the battlefield, knowing that the Spokes Idiot and other stooges at the state department will be leaking their battle plans to the enemy and knowing that no matter what happens they will be blamed or court marshaled. Well is this the way to go into battle? Obama is reaping the rewards of having no foreign policy except to diminish the honor and reputation of both his office and our great country. A president who is such a rampant ideologue and politician that he would sell all us down the river to win an election and that is exactly what he and his regime has done. So I say no to Obama. No war, no win, no grandstanding, no risks taken, no prestige, no praise and yes no victory. Just shut up and let Allah sort this one out. Not one soldier, airman, marine or sailor should give their life for this creep. First regime change in the USA and then we can discuss why it is such a good idea to back AQ and the Muslim brotherhood in the middle east including Syria. Untill then the answer is NO!

The problem is not his foolishness being hidden or exposed, it is that people are not willing to see it.

I recognized the man as a knave and a fool when I first heard him speak, as I am sure many who read PJMedia did also. For 2016 we can hope 1 or 2% will swing away from this insanity, but that does not negate that a dangerous mass of the electorate is living in a fantasyland.

Russian Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin compared Barack Obama's foreign policy in the Middle East to a "monkey with a hand grenade."

Obama is still in Community Organizer mode. Talk up the issue and get the multitudes to do all the work. He is in way over his depth.

The Obama Doctrine (In a Nutshell)

►Shoot your mouth off and make statements that will never be backed up.

►Once a situation grows to a crisis, hope that some other country will step up and take the lead thereby releasing you to lead from behind but claim it is your leadership that will win the day.

►When leading from behind fails, blame someone else.

~found somewhere on the internet~

Pretty much sums it up. huh?

Sandbox Diplomacy

From Cairo to Damascus,
From Riyadh to Bahrain,
Each time Obama dithers
He makes his weakness plain.

He cannot make decisions.
He knows not how to act.
His strategies are hopeless,
His tactics inexact.

He starts with senseless bluster.
He draws a scarlet line.
He lays a demarcation,
And waves his sharpened tine.

Upon his foe’s traversal,
His rhetoric is stilled.
His promises are broken,
His words lie unfulfilled.

His enemies are strengthened,
His allies left impaired.
He weaves a rope of bombast,
And leaves himself ensnared.

You're just saying that because you don't like him! Seriously, that does seem to be the new standard for criticism: if you want to criticize obozocare, you can't because you never wanted it! If you want to criticize obozo, you can't because you never liked him!
Apparently there's a quota or time limit, and after that you have to shut up.
It's insane, but it seems to provide comfort for the moonbat crowd and they actually seem to believe it.

At this point, Obama's best hope is for Congress to pull on him what Parliament pulled on the Brit. Gets him out of the jam he put himself into with his big mouth.
Obama has never gone to Congress to try and work anything out. Apparently during his short stint there, he never made any close connections, and has spent his presidency avoiding the deal-making that successful presidents engage in. Why should they stick up for him now, supporting an action that Obama can't articulate and the people don't want?
Go play golf, Barry. It limits the damage you do to the divots you leave on the fairways.

Obama isn't even presidential enough to make his case face-to-face with the American people. Instead he sends Lerch out to lie for him and take the fall when the sh!t inevitably hits the fan.

The fact that the man just can't make a decision was what bothered me the most. This has happened again and again. What would he have done after the attack on the World Trade Center.
Almost 50% of voters are not the folks who elected him and are very unhappy with the way he is running this country. Unfortunately the other 50+ % are poorly informed and put their own comfort and acquisitions ahead of country.

Keep in mind that he was not elected by 50+% of the voters, but by 50+% of those who bothered to vote. Obama didn't get anything close to 50% of the registered voters.

Sept 11 is a week away and we have embassies and diplomat families scattered all over the MENA and the crescent of crisis. Will there be a working cell phone on the secretary's yacht, the 'No Berth Certificate'?
