There’s one major difference between Watergate and Benghazi: Watergate had no body count.

Of course the other difference is that Watergate was over a third rate burglary, a felony. It's not altogether clear that there is a precipitating crime here that's being covered up. Faulty risk analysis during war that leads to deaths is not a crime. I suppose lying to a congressional committee to cover up the faulty risk analysis and the failure to respond with the cavalry could be contempt of congress. However, Fast and Furious were crimes, and I don't see that going anywhere soon.

And Hillary wasn't a major player subject to prosecution in Watergate.

"What difference does it make?" is the war cry of the cynic. It does not take much brains to be more discerning than a cynic, but it does take some balls to to pursue the cynics. Has this hearing caused the outrage to become wide enough and deep enough to unravel the whole thing, and punish the cynics, for a change?
