Outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spent roughly seven hours on the Hill today fielding statements lauding her brilliance, praise for how many miles she has flown around the world, and the occasional question about Benghazi.
Remember that? On 9-11-12, four Americans died in a terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The Obama campaign/administration had just spent their political convention crowing that al-Qaeda is “on the run.” The Benghazi terrorist attack suggested otherwise.
Beginning shortly after the attack and continuing through September 26, President Obama and his administration blamed that attack on a movie that was said to have offended Muslims.
The timeline of who decided to blame a movie, when and why, is at the center of the Benghazi cover-up. But very few Republicans and no Democrats bothered to ask her about it. Those Republicans who did ask, failed, because their tactics were idiotic.
The Democrats spent more of their time lauding Clinton, thanking her for her service and praising her for one thing or another, than they spent asking any questions. Sen. Dick Durbin swung into a dissertation on Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, failing to note that the woman sitting before him at the hearing also believed in WMDs and advocated war against Saddam Hussein on that basis. Some of the Republicans, particularly Sens. Ron Johnson, John McCain, and Rand Paul, asked probing questions. You can see some of those in other posts.
Disappointingly, Sen. Marco Rubio asked no tough questions and he wasted the few minutes that he had to question the secretary. If he intends to be a leader, he missed a major opportunity today. He failed to lead. This is not a good sign from the popular Tea-flavored Floridian. It’s worth asking why he chose to further the Benghazi cover-up today.
In the House hearing, the Democrats jumped again to praise Clinton. Several thanked her for this or that. None of them really probed her for any level of accountability. Several blamed the attack on budget cuts. Rep. Mo Brooks and Rep. Adam Kinzinger, both Republicans, took the toughest lines with Clinton. Rep. Jeff Duncan managed to ask Clinton about her “what difference does it make” quip from the Senate hearing. He said that she had made the Benghazi consulate a “death trap.” But she managed to wriggle away.
Clinton later admitted that she wasn’t troubled by Tunisia’s release of the one suspect arrested outside the U.S. in connection with Benghazi. She never had to answer for the suspect who was arrested within the U.S. in connection with Benghazi, and who still remains in jail. He is the man whose movie Clinton et al dishonestly blamed for the attack. If she is troubled by that sidebar, she didn’t let on.
I will speculate we can refer to this as progress from Progressives now! Propaganda being their bureaucrat lingo!

I’ve read several articles today regarding the Clinton testimony and I have to ask; What were we expecting? That she would really take responsibility? That she would fall on here sword? That she would say “We f*cked up.”? This is a woman who just like her husband, has no shame. This is an immoral woman who has no grace. When I say immoral, I mean that she would lie to advance herself. She lied to the families of those four men killed in Benghazi without batting an eyelash. And she lied to the American people. Not just this once, but throughout her and her husband’s careers. It’s not for me to say whether those people in Libya could have saved. But it’s certainly my right to call her a liar and a despicable person. But there’s that question. Just what did we expect?

Who gave this criminal order and not one of the spineless republicans asked that most vital of questions. Why did they not ask the very simple question “Who in the adminstration gave the order not to send in our military to rescue the two Seals?” I suspect that the answer to that question would lead straight to the very top of this communist regime. It is politically impossible to pressure Hillary now that she recently went through a life threatening illness. The only people who will view this as a positive are existing Republican supporters.

THE MISSING QUESTION
A history-changing catastrophe occurred on September 11th, with consequences through the present. I think I’ve finally got it.
I have been wondering for the last few years why Hillary has allowed herself to fall apart, to become a dowdy, dumpy, haggard-looking frump. That dumb, low-IQ, tired hairdo, etc. This is very out of character for a woman of her ego and ambition. VERY out of character.
She wants the Oval Office so bad she can taste it. It would not surprise me if she sneaks in late at night and sits at the President’s desk and does a Walter Mitty.
So why has she allowed herself to just go to pieces?
I think I’ve finally got it.
She’s setting the stage. She’s getting ready to be The Comeback Kid.
Once Kerry is confirmed, she’s going to pretty much drop off the public scene for a while. Oh, she’ll make enough appearances to stay in the public mind. She’ll be seen with the right people doing the right things. She’ll make some political noises, but quietly. No charities for her. No, that’s too “retired”. She has to keep her game on, but still, lay low (comparatively).
Then when the Presidential political season wakes up, she’s going to come roaring back, with a fresh new wardrobe, new hairdo, and “new” ideas to save the world!
The contrast will give her a BIG boost. It will dispel any concerns about her age. She has the energy to make herself anew, like Phoenix rising from the ashes, so of course she can handle the demands of the Presidency.
That’s the game.

Look people, Hillary could have sneered at them and said “Of course we lied. Of course we knew it has AQ from the get go. But we’d been claiming that we had AQ on the run, people loved it, so what else do you expect? We lie all the time”. She could have said this straight up, laughed, and it wouldn’t have made any difference. The MSM would not even mention it, only Fox and conservative blogs. The network nightly news and local news would have run a clip of Hillary telling everyone how dedicated the government employees are, the talking heads would have gushed about it for minute, showed Obama’s grinning face accompanied by a few nitwits blubbering about how awesome and historic he is, and that’s that. A large chunk of the disengaged populace no longer cares. I’m not going to go so far as to call them idiots, they just don’t give a shyte any more. If anyone expects the facts to matter at this point, you’re delusional.
I read about this in 2 newspapers today. The NY Post tells it like it is…straightforward and to the point. Immediately thereafter I picked up the NY Times and you guessed it, a stark difference from what happened. Slanted and biased in every regard. The NY Times circulation has declined by more than 50% in recent years. I could not be happier. They brought it upon themselves. Some day soon, I hope we can say to the Times, “GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH!”
Every politician, whether it’s a congressman senator, diplomat, or their spokespeople and the media are lying to the American public every time they call the location of the attack a consulate. It was not. There was absolutely no diplomatic consulate in Benghazi. None. Words are important here. They can create a wrong image, an incorrect picture of what was really going on. The property where our Ambassador and other Americans were murdered was a rented villa consisting of a primary residence with a couple of outbuildings behind the actual house. The reason they’re still calling it a consulate is to subtly divert any questions about our activities there.
Nixon was impeached for alot less. I thought that the Republicans could see this as payback since a young Hillary was on the get Nixon at all costs committee. I wonder were the patriots are? Were are the “deep throats” in the Obama administration that care more about morality than party politics? Apparrently morality is not a prerequisite for Obama’s personel. Accountability and Patriotism have both died and soon a great nation will follow.
