Apparently the Clintons, famous for twisting around the definition of “is,” have now found a way to twist around the meaning of the word “resign.” Another word that got the Clinton twist: “accountability.”
The four officials supposedly out of jobs because of their blunders in the run-up to the deadly Benghazi terror attack remain on the State Department payroll — and will all be back to work soon, The Post has learned.
The highest-ranking official caught up in the scandal, Assistant Secretary of State Eric Boswell, has not “resigned” from government service, as officials said last week. He is just switching desks. And the other three are simply on administrative leave and are expected back.
The four were made out to be sacrificial lambs in the wake of a scathing report issued last week that found that the US compound in Benghazi, Libya, was left vulnerable to attack because of “grossly inadequate” security.
State Department leaders “didn’t come clean about Benghazi and now they’re not coming clean about these staff changes,” a source close to the situation told The Post., adding, the “public would be outraged over this.”
I’d like to see the evidence of said “outrage.” The Clinton State Dept. and Obama government transparently lied about Benghazi in the weeks between the attack and the election, with no repercussions at all. Hillary Clinton has dodged having to testify on the matter, the security beforehand and the decision to blame a movie afterward, with no repercussions at all. Thanks to media puffery, Clinton is currently leading the pack to win the presidency in four years.
We could do with some outrage over the deaths of four Americans and the lies told to cover up what really happened, but there’s no evidence of it.
Really, did anyone expect any person to take any blame for these 4 deaths?
The buck stops with the president, and he was re-elected just 2 months after the terrorist attack.
All this will blow over by January, when the MSM will declare that the Benghazi murders are old news.
However, our enemies will not forget our fecklessness. We are the weak horse in the region, and the next time we’ll get stepped on even harder.
Yep, I expect another attack or two. Except this time there will be hostages and dead marines hanging from light poles. And Obama will do nothing.
I would just note that Clinton will not be elected President in 2016. It will be an Obama creature, not her. Hillary is not only too old for a woman to run but she is not from the Obama camp. He made her his Sec State as a payoff, not as a stepping stone.
I would also question the general air of hyping candidates that PJ media tends to do. Romney was supposed to be a shoe-in, Obama was gonna go down in flames, etc. Now, Hillary is supposed to be President. Do you not see that PJ Media’s track record is sketchy?

There’s an old saying in politics that is appropo to the HRC situation: It is better to have some people inside the tent peeing out than outside the tent peeing in. HRC is more being held prisoner as SoS than being paid off. The Clintons were deposed in the Soros coup. They failed the Revolution by losing to the Republicans in ’94 and then reaching accomodations with the evil Gingrich in order to stay in power. They’ve been exiled because they cooperated with the counter-revolutionaries.
People like those two don’t just quietly sheath their swords the way Hitlery just folded in ’08. The Soros Cabal had something on them that would have put them in jail or worse, but appearances must be maintained. HRC is made SoS, but the reality is that Secretaries really aren’t running the federal departments, czars and special assistants to the President are; her SoS position is merely decorative but it makes the Clintons a part of the Junta and they have to toe the line. Slick Willie has a lot of trouble with that; he is, after all, a former President and it is clear that he viscerally hates Comrade Obama, but he’d really hate to be deprived of his access to nooky by being imprisoned or worse so other than the ocassional pointy stick, he plays nice with the boy he thinks should be serving his coffee.

There is a significant difference between noting what polls say about a candidate and “touting” that candidate.
It is clear that the press intend for there to be a run of Democratic presidents, forever apparently, as no mistake of a Democrat’s–at any level– will ever be examined the way a Republican’s (of any level) would. I presume for 2016 the plan is for the push to be this time for a woman (maybe Hillary, maybe Warren, maybe somebody else) as the ground work has already been laid, and in 2024 for everything ro be sold for a minority woman (thus the placement of Rice), or a Hispanic man, then to be followed by a “real” African-American, and so on, all put into place without the same fisking as would be done with a Republican (something Hillary, at least, would not be able to stand up against).
As we consider the clear intent of the establishment to have Democratic Executive rule for as long as possible, while denying the right of a legislative majority of another party to have an effect upon the laws, and with the possibility of the heir apparent gender/minority/eyhnicity being apparent years in advance, I wonder if we should call these new lines of Democratic Presidents Julian, or Claudian?
We are, sadly, at that point; some of the forms of the Republic survive, but the Republic is gone and the Congress is merely ceremonial.
You know, as an aside, the reason why, in the early Republic, that Presidents were Secretary of State before being elected President was not because it was a magic talisman able to elevate any man into office (ask Henry Clay), but because the lack of strength of the early American Republic meant we had to have our best men for the job of overseeing foreign affairs–and it was already known whom the best were, and that they were already among the select few in the running for Executive office.
The *man* made the man fit for the next job given to him, not the job made the man fit where otherwise he or she would not have been. When the strength of the Republic grew enough, and the idea of Jacksonian Democracy grew, the Secretary of State position ceased to be the on-deck circle for the heir-apparents.
This is a public plea to the Staff of PJMedia and all readers not to permit this Benghazi atrocity to drift away in a cloud of media-induced Red Herrings, and related coy-word-play by smarta*s younger reporters trying to make their way in the smug-”journalism” of news-print and TV.

To this former USAF Reserve Lieutenant, a very pregnant starting point should be a true published accounting of that seven hour attack-period, the activities inside the White House and specifically the 24/7 Oval Office and 24/7 Situation Room during the attacks themselves when little or nothing was done to to help those so tragically and heroically trapped at their stations.
Surely this is sickening Impeachment material. Hillary’s husband’s cloakroom adventure is simply laughable in comparison.
And, let’s have no wringing of hands about the Democrat controlled Senate preventing actual Impeachment. Not being a parliamentarian, I can ask easily what is there to prevent the charges of Impeachment being leveled against Obama by the Republican House? Then, as facts are bought to light, what Democrat with an ounce of humanity would vote against Impeaching that cowardly creature….Obama?
